I have a science background, a medical career as a veterinarian, a Masters in Theology, and finishing a PsyD while is semiretirement. From that perspective you are so correct. Wrote a paper regarding how science and theology are not incompatible but must, if pursued without agendas come to the same ultimate conclusions. I call science a form of general revelation and argue that theology and science should be mutually informative.

As a Catholic you are obliged to adhere to the dogma concerning the relationship of science and scripture as introduced by Thomas Aquinas, so obviously then there is no conflict. It's unfortunate that so few people seem to know about this christian dogma when talking about christianity and science.

That presupposes the existence of a god. It doesn't bother you that this explanation "works" with every mutually exclusive god ever conceived, and then only if you squint hard enough at every scientific field you try to reconcile with your god of choice?

Depends on what religion it is, for example the book of Genesis which is followed by Islam and Christianity (I think Judaism?) has a big flaw in it. It says that the Earth and everything is created within 7 days, many religious fanatics just blow this away with "oh it's symbolic we dont know what days actually means" but if you have read Genesis it clearly says ” And there was evening, and there was morning-the first day. " - 1 Genesis 3:5. Theists immediately jump to the conclusion that its not literal because they know how fucking ridicolous it is.😊

Science doesn’t disprove god, because nothing proves or disproves god. Sorry theists.
@Akkodha. Жыл бұрын
A) science doesn’t prove or disprove the idea of a supreme “God” being. B) nothing so far can “prove” or “disprove” the idea of a supreme “God” being. C) The thought that “We exist in the perfect and exclusive known parameters for existence, therefore those parameters must have been met by a supreme being” is ignoring so many things. First of all, it’s suspiciously similar to circular reasoning- *God must exist (claim) because we exist in such absurd circumstances! (supporting evidence)* - Our existence is not supporting evidence for the existence of a “God”. It has equal potential to be unrelated. Secondly, the odds of there being an infinite number of other universes is an extremely easy explanation, and i’ve heard the argument “But the chances of us naturally occurring is *[insert tiny %]* so it’s illogical to assume that we would occur naturally” and this argument is so annoying because our existence proves that theory equally as correct as it does in proving it was “God” (not at all), but the difference is that our existence does prove that within the parameters of our universe, life is possible, and therefore it doesn’t matter how unlikely it is, because it already happened. Although you may realize that last point doesn’t hold up at all if you believe in “God” because for you “God” created nature and nature created humans. I just wanted to add that in to show how your outlook before approaching information always matters more to you than the actual information, because if you’re a blank slate most of the “proof” wouldn’t be considered proof of anything because it goes both ways. D) I’ve been writing “*Supreme “God” Being*” and “”*God*”” because it doesn’t matter what god you follow, because any and all proof that proves a supreme being doesn’t say anything about your god’s abstract moral values. many of the Christian God’s morals make sense just from a civilization standpoint and a god decreeing them is redundant and completely separate from the idea of a being creating the universe. If a God exists it does nothing to help prove that *your* god exists. A monkey with a typewriter and an infinite amount of time typing will eventually type every idea, book, script, and event that ever happened, in chronological order, but that will take a finite amount of time for it to do, so it doesn’t truly need an infinite amount of time, only as much time as it takes the hypothetical monkey. This can be used in an argument that if it is possible for humans to naturally occur, and the universe will last for a theoretically infinite amount of time, then humans will eventually exist, and they will exist in a finite amount of time.

@@Akkodha. I used to be a strong ashiest myself, even an apostate, I'm not trying to prove the Abrahamic God but I'm proving that there is a God, But anyways, Where's the proof that there was an infinite amount of time? Explain how we went from something to nothing, and there is 0 evidence that there was a time of something always existing, it isn't possible for NOTHING to go to something now many physicists agree with this statement that there HAD to be a beginning to EVERYTHING, mark twain himself believed that this universe had to be a work of an intelligent mind. There is also 0 proof that there is a multiverse, and even if there was there would still have to be a point of Nothing even if you were to say that some form of matter existed forever (which there is no proof of), there would still need to be a cause for that matter to come to exist, it's the law of cause and effect for physical things, not supernatural things such as God himself. The universes code never shifts too, so explain the fact that the universe is so perfectly tuned and even a slight change in the code of the universe would cause vital things to not be able to exist INCLUDING hydrogen and life itself. The Hypothetical monkey that you are talking about cannot change his "typewriter" meaning that some things are just impossible to print, such as an apple or another monkey or print every single type of vegetable known to humankind, so that hypothetical monkey can only do things to an extent. There was never an infinite amount of time for something to create everything, like I said the universes code NEVER changes so it CANNOT create anything. "But for with God nothing shall be impossible." - Luke 1:37 By the way to mention, humans share 99% of their DNA with monkeys, if the 1% difference in the DNA is causing such a big difference within our bodies, such as going from this ape that seemingly acts off it's own interest and survival to thinking, reasoning, moral possessing, art making, technology revolutionizing, new emotion possessing, culture forming beings. And the beginning of life.. It just came from a pile of protons and neutrons rapidly expanding itself into a universe that made these Magnificent conscious living things, that started off as this well, sludge, and eventually Evolved (Which I don't discredit evolution at all since there can be changes done to the body as the body adapts to things. But not entirely transform itself. ( There was a scientist in Germany that conducted this research on flies to test evolution with special chemicals and formulas etc. to outrageously and tremendously speed up evolution , the only form of evolution that it showed, was adapting to it's surroundings, not turning into a different type of species.) Now as an illustration, depict in your mind Google, a engine that takes millions of computers, workers, servers, and billions of sets of code to run google, but it takes a perfectly arranged set of code to run you, a far more superior, complex, and intelligent being. Now just depict looking at all that code and saying that it just well, eventually scrambled itself together, unreasonable and quite stupid am I right? Every piece of work requires a builder. A thing that proves that God's intent was for humans to enjoy life, is that every single place you look on the earth that is NATURE, not manmade, is astonishing. But even if the Abrahamic God doesn't exist, there is still a God out there, one that let the Good, the bad, and the ugly exist, but most importantly let life exist. It's come to my attention that when people use the word God then people automatically jump to the conclusion that they are Automatically referring to the Abrahamic God (The God in the bible.)

Well yeah i would say the big bang isnt really a "pro-atheist" concept at all, or at the very least it doesn't help the argument along, it simply pushes the question of "so where did all that stuff that made the universe come from?" back, and at the end of the day science cant answer that question because the point suggests that the answer lies beyond our universe.
@TheTruth-cy4le7 ай бұрын
LeMaitre strongly disavowed any connection between his ideas and "Intelligent Design." Scientists of the 20th century never opposed the Big Bang because they opposed "Intelligent Design," religion never entered into it, they were simply skeptical as scientists should always be until a new idea is proved by conclusive evidence. Creationists were strongly against the Big Bang for decades until one of them figured out a way to use it as a self-serving argument for "Intelligent Design." Very cool video that posits many important questions. As a physics student myself (although I am certainly not an authority in this regard), I am deeply curious about the nature of these topics and have spent plenty of time pondering them. I would like to respond to some of the claims made in the video: 1. It seems to be somewhat of a conjecture to assume what a "non-physical super intellect" would choose to do. Personifying something and assuming its qualities based on what we think is sensible for it is somewhat arrogant on our part. 2. Of the few scientists mentioned in the website (one of which is an engineer), only one is absolute in his belief whilst the other two only hint towards the possibility of a God. While many scientists nod towards a belief or at least a possibility of a god of a deistic nature, very few are religious in the traditional sense (a God that grants miracles/answers prayers). Where God and science do not conflict, any possible belief is trivial beyond explaining the origins of the universe. 3. The fine-tuning argument is an elegant and common one, but it has its holes. To say there would be "no universe as we know it" if a physical constant changed is obvious; our universe is defined by its constants, and would not be the same if they were different. A Darwinian way of looking at the universe could be argued in this regard. Just as one could look at a human body and point towards how perfect it seems in respect to the conditions of the earth, we can do the same of the universe. Doing so, however, is akin to shooting an arrow in a random direction and drawing the bullseye around where it lands after. It is not that the universe is finely tuned for us, it is that we are finely tuned for the universe through natural selection. Of course we do not know of the origins of the universe in a similar manner (as the creator of the video points out very well - god/multiverse theory both take a leap of faith). I'm not sure where the creator found that "most physicists agree that it didn't all happen by chance" as the dialogues I have seen have been somewhat contrary. Those that can even assign a probability must be proponents of multiverse theory, a leap of faith beyond the bounds of current science. The attitudes I have seen (apologizes for the personal anecdote) is that we simply do not know, but we should try and keep working to find out. The beauty of science is admitting what we don't know, and instead of providing answers without backing we work towards getting to them. 4. The google code/DNA argument is of a similar nature to the infamous watchmaker argument. There are many great rebuttals against intelligent design on the internet, so I will ignore that for now. I find it interesting, however, that the creator nods towards believing in evolution only to question it in this regard. 5. Humans becoming intelligent, self-aware life forms is not due to an intelligent creator, but the contingencies within evolution. Asking "what makes more sense" is irrelevant, as what makes sense to us can often be the opposite of what is true. It made sense that the earth was the center of the universe to Ptolemy and that there were four elements to Aristotle. My issue with this video is that despite doing a good job at pointing out where science and religion do not conflict, it does so with a confirmative bias. As Neil Tyson said, "If that's how you want to invoke your evidence for God, then God is an ever receding pocket of scientific ignorance that's getting smaller and smaller and smaller" To anyone that read this, thank you for taking the time. I would be happy to continue the discussion :) cheers

@zontzooit2415 Жыл бұрын
@@7sGalaxy there’s also another fallacy that this video is implying but not outright saying… it’s the either or fallacy. Basically it’s the argument that because one thing isn’t true that automatically makes the other one true… you either like dogs or you hate dogs, When there could be an endless sea of options… I could also be ok with dogs, I could think some dogs are cute, I could hate other dogs, I could be allergic to dogs but think they’re cute. Just because we happen to live in this complicated world doesn’t mean their either is a god or their isn’t… especially considering his (guy in the video) conclusion is endless… could their have been multiple gods? Would if it was a non conscious god, intelligent but unaware kinda like AI almost… could it not have been us who created the universe but have no memory of it? Would if the universe is an entity and we just don’t know it? But also think about it, a wind breeze we know came from nature itself, Not an intelligent being… so why is it ok to assume that the universe came from an intelligent being? Just because it’s so difficult to comprehend that this wasn’t made for us? A lot of people being up the argument of “well we live in a house so it’s safe to assume someone made the house, would it not be the same for the earth?” No because look we can tell this house was made by humans because well we have evidence to support it… we have seen construction workers build before… we know the stuff in our house is man made… it’s very ovbiously made for us to live in we have a sink and place to clean ourselves and is conveniently designed for us by humans. The earth isn’t, the earth is dangerous, pandemics, hurricanes, snow storms, earthquakes, floods, thunder, Volcanoes, war, fire, lack of food(so many issues with the agriculture industry) famine, ect… laying on the floor is not ideal or comfortable, living in 109 degree weather(like we did earlier this summer) is not ideal for a human… neither is living in negative degree weather… it almost implies as if we adapted to this environment rather than it adapted to us by a god. I personally believe they come to this conclusion that it must have been a god because life is so continent, euphoric, and they have this sense of “it has to have meaning or a reason”, a sense of feeling special almost. Because we’re unuiqe doesn’t mean we had a creator. There’s a unique rock probably on an island with minerals and chemical compounds that aren’t found anywhere else in the galaxy…. Does that make that rock special? To us it does but does that mean it had to have had a creator? It’s such a. Weird conclusion to end up at esp considering it’s unscientific to jump to conclusions esp when the conclusion has so many possible options. That’s my opinion I remember being a tween and also questioning my beliefs…

Second, life didn't come from a sludge puddle, but formed from chemicals deep underneath the ocean in hydrothermal vents. Third, why would an intelligent god go to create a universe and then descend on a planet to make life when he can just create a universe that can have life assemble itself

Science does not contradict god; a creator, but it does contradict religion. If you believe a certain religion, you have to not only respect but also believe its rules, explanations of the world, and other texts that are written for the religion inside their holy books such as the Quran and the holy Bible.

God is not a big man in the sky. God is an uncreated Creator. He is not affected by time, space or matter. If He is affected by time, space and matter then He is not God. Time, space and matter is a continuum and all of them have to come into existence at the same instance. Because if there were matter and no space...where would you put it? If there were matter and space but no time, when would you put it? You cannot have time, space and matter independently to come into existence simultaneously. The Bible answers this in ten words ... In the beginning (time) God created the heaven (space) and earth (matter) (genesis 1:1) You have time, space and matter, the trinity of trinities. Time is past, present and future. Space is height, width, and depth and matter are solid., liquid and gas. Therefore the God who created them has to be outside of them. If He's limited by time then He's not God. The God who created us and this universe is outside of the universe. He's above it, beyond it, in it, through it and therefore not affected by it. The concept that a spiritual force cannot have any effect on a material body then how can we explain things like love, emotions, hated, envy, jealousy, and rationality. If our brain is just a random collection of chemicals that formed by chance over billions of years then how on earth can you trust your own reasoning processes and the thoughts that you think? If we could fit an infinite God in our three-pound brain then He would not be worth worshipping. It 's called having Faith 🙏

Total gibberish. All you're saying is that he is what ever it is that you decide. Anyone who disagrees with your interpretation is wrong because that's the only way you can be right. You don't know how something works, therefor god. Nonsense. You are defining what god MUST be. Is that not just a tad arrogant? Random collection formed by chance? So evolution is out of the question. You're telling me what god has to be, what he has to do, where he has to be. Damn you're sure of yourself. You even claim to know his location. Magic number three. Shhheeessshhh, why not seven? You've even decided gods volume as you know where he will and won't fit. If you knew his mass we could work out his density. You decide if he's worth worshipping or not based on his volume. So you place a limit on the size of god. Thought he was a god. Could be smaller than a plank length if he wanted but you wouldn't worship him then because he would be too small to be worth worshipping. So you withhold your worship based on your assumptions of the volume of a non-perceptible object? I hope you're young enough to learn that there is only one thing, reality. You've got it all worked out, size, shape, age and limitations. How very humble of you. I've never seen you but I can describe, down to the last one, how many hairs you have. A much lesser claim than yours. Sorry m8, I "believe" and have "faith" in logic. Not last years amended edition of the one true word. How can there be more than one version? Are they all true. You can't just ignore reason because it's inconvenient. I believe in flying penguins. Jet propelled flying penguins. Prove me wrong. I have the same evidence that you do, even more. I know penguins are real, I've seen one. It's not a personal attack on you, just trying to observe reality. And, please, don't kill your children because you have an auditory hallucination. Have you heard of ergot? Worth a look if not. It's 'independently' interesting substance and has much food for thought. Just one question please. Can god create a rock so heavy that he can't lift it? Crikeys, I'm jibbering on like a stuck record. Sorry. Keep well m8. 😀

System is the problem 🏡 Our Life should be around these Great Qualities. 1, Show all living creatures; all the love and kindness as much as you can. 2, Only try to be honest with yourself. If you try to be honest with others, you will get into big trouble soon or later. 3, Aim only one target at a time; otherwise you are chasing two rabbits and you will miss both. So, the reason behind it. Have one powerful reason and never ever give up the one you want the most. 4, Don't try to be good person only but be the powerful person. We will grow to be the one or we will die. There is no other choice. 5, Always learn and look for to improve something your life. 6, You are not alone. Love and faith the high power reduces unnecessary stress in life. But never completely rely on it. 7, Success and happiness are the byproducts of our usefulness. So, always increase the possibility of success. 8, Life is not going to be easy. Because of our unnecessary things. Eliminate all the unnecessary things as much as you can by organising yourself well with the environments. 9, Never believe anything without the proper evidences. 10, Always try to give more than you take. Because it is dignity/ character of the divinity within you. 🌎 As long as people continue to see themselves as separate from everything else, they lend themselves to being completely enslaved. Success depends on how well we relate to everything around us. Joy comes from that bliss of connectedness. I believe that unarmed truth and love will have the final word in reality. To love; you should have good heart. I am a good person until I see a person better than my standard of goodness. Being good is the progress towards a worthy cause. Love is God. Whoever lives in love, lives forever. How selfish it is to try to keep something forever? Love is all about nourishing, nurturing, sharing and expanding the love within you for all. The principle to which we adhere to is that we have kindness of love at heart for the whole of mankind. As long as there is the unnecessary differences within us; we can not live peacefully so we have to eliminate all the unnecessary differences among us so we can love all. People abilities may vary but not there true love. If we love a person/ God for a reason then we love the reason but not the person. No reason is the reason to love the person because true love never fails. So do not compare or measure the true love as first or the last but love all truly. If you love people truly then you can understand people. If you don't love then you don't understand people at all. People are controlled by system why? The Cyclical Consumption is the current economy all over the World. It is making the scarcity problems of the earth finite resources to deteriorate day by day. Current Monetary System is legalised theft. Real money is Gold and Silver. Scarcity gives the money more value. Real money won't lose it's value. When Governments stay away from Gold & Silver then very easy to transfer the wealth / resources to upper class the Rich (Corporatocracy) Elite. When the Governments are printing out more new fiat currency with reserve banks, our old currency is losing its purchasing power everyday. They are printing millions of currency everyday. All governments and laws are existing right now to transfer wealth to upper class the rich elite. The USA Government & other Governments are in many countries, bailed the investment banks & financial institutions in 2008 against the majority of the people. There is no democracy in any countries. Because of the Money System based on profits motive only above all else even humans lives and well-being. So, we do not have freedom to protect our values with the money so on. The violence, bankruptcy & all the negativities are build into the Monetary System of our society. All are owned (including ourselves) by Reserve Bank. Which is private cartel the corporation. So, in legal system, we are legally considered as chattel the properties. They make money in the capital markets with our birth certificates. They do not consider us as Humans. That's the truth. We are at the invisible war with the Elites (Corporatocracies). We have to fight for our Freedom. Resource Based Economy is the Solution. We have to declare the earth resources as the heritage of all the people of this world. So everyone has access to it. Please have your research about zeitgeist movement then you know the truth more. Truth About Health/Drugs Industry Because Of It Your Life At High Risk The drug industry is a 1/2 trillion dollars a year worldwide conglomerate. Almost 300 billions dollars just in North America. That is really big business. What would happen if everyone were well? There is no money in health. You see, good health makes a lot of sense but it doesn't make a lot of dollars. Because everything they do is toxic. Every drug they use, prescription drugs, all drugs are liver toxic, bar none. If you've had amalgam fillings put in your mouth by dentists. It is highly toxic. There's cancer because most of the chemos are themselves carcinogens. To view the tumor as the cancer and we know the tumor is not the cancer. The cancer industry is 200 billions dollars a year. The more work they get, the more profit there is. You have to dismantle; If the truth ever came out about what we would need to do. 30% of people of females in America are at risk of getting, will get cancer of the breast. The ones that are already dead have been grossly mistreated by the medical profession and by the government that supposedly is supposed to encourage free research and development of all possibilities. Why would medical doctors who studied medicine and practice medicine and are heavily funded by pharmaceutical companies why would they go and look into vitamins? That they never had the answer orthomolecular. And as more and more of our population start taking their health into their own hands, there's going to be even more and more of changes. It can't go on the way it is. The system is failing apart. We must make nutrition the primary prevention strategy for the population. You are what you eat. You are everything that you have ever done to yourself. The choices you make directly affect the outcome of your life. - (Food Matters Documentary in Netflix) 😊 Well, I truly love God. I am not religious but very spiritual person. So, I believe 1) Religion is the beliefs in someone experiences But spirituality is having my own experiences. The mainstream religions people promote religious ideology by giving guidelines and guide but In my spiritual life; I do not want anyone or anything between God and me to restrict my freedom to worship God. 2) We do not need any authorities to do good work. The god work is the good work always. In contrast; organised mainstream religions are claiming that they have the authorities to do God works as leaders so on. 3) God is not capable of doing wrong thing, change the past for us and create anything out of nothing for us. Nothing means not anything. So, even God is limited. The mainstream religious people believe that God is unlimited. 4) God wants us to take responsibilities for our righteousness life but not for all the consequences of our actions because they are continued to exist among us. So, How can god punish us for all our consequences? The mainstream religious people believe we are full of sins because of all our actions. 5) Freewill is an illusion. People always choose the perceived path of greatest pleasure. So, we do not have choices all the time. In contrast teachings of the mainstream religions are promoting people to do god's will always because we all have choices of freewill always. 6) We can not separate everything into groups. So, everything for good and evil and there's no success and failure for everything. If everything is real then real things can not be threatened. Once you come to understand that God/The Holy Spirit is in each of us, You will no longer need a Book to tell you how to live. Then why we need religious scriptures? The Virtue is the expression of the basic goodness in our actions. The Basic goodness is the fundamental worthiness of every individuals. We are worthy to God always in everything. 7) Beliefs in a cruel God makes a cruel man. No matter what; every living creatures has the right to live and What makes their life cheap? Everything depends on everything. Nothing too big or too small in value. We can not love and hate at the same time; Being a vegetarian means love without cruelty happily. The mainstream religious people are killing people and sacrificing animals in the name of God. They promote God's cruel punishments. The Punishment is endless for Sinners/Devil according to religious scriptures. But God is love always. Overcome hate with love. If all religions for peace, unity? No way. Because they are not for peace. 8) Well, The God gave us everything to go from moment to moment in our lives as we do our part and pray only to thank god then the Love is in progress. The Love is always for everyone. We are always worthy of the God's love. Our greatest fear is; not to be loved by anyone but we are all loved by someone. When we eliminate all our unnecessary differences among us then true peaceful life is possible with the true love. If we can't find the peace within ourselves then we will never find it anywhere else. 9) This is the Fight for independence and freedom of humanity to worship God freely without religious guide and guidelines to restrict us. Unnecessarily, We do not want third party controls over us in anything ; especially in spirituality. 10) Revive Survive Thrive. Sincerely, The Real Peacemaker against religious oppression. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpPZdKuDm8h-rJY kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnqteX2webaWiK8 kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6rbk5ejdtN8mas kzbin.info/www/bejne/rX3dlpShgKhpnKc kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmnZeZRur6lqoLs

As I re-read what I wrote its all in anger, I thought as a nurse, people can abuse nursing, people can abuse, the library box on the corner of the street that says "take one book, leave another", people can abuse trust in so many ways -but it doesn't mean THATS who someone is. My sexuality doesn't describe who I am and I fought for that for years - I should know better. I will tell you this. I have watched nearly every one of these videos, some of them twice and I am going to work on my anger and pain, learn to forgive and move on and hopefully try to find peace and not put God in an unfair category because other people misused and abused his teachings. - I should know better, I know the only weapon forged to fight hate is love. I was wrong, combative and disrespectful to come here and spew such atrocities about other people's choices no matter what they are. I have a degree in psychology and I KNOW this is NOT how you work through your problems yet I chose this path. I should of known from the beginning what I needed to do when I cried through 90% of the videos. Please except my humble apology. I see a lot of very angry people from our side everywhere but you can't change a person's mind by being angry with them for not understanding, it never works.

There is a whole slew of intellectual eras in both the christian and muslim world. Many caliphates and muslim empires were masters of reason and the sciences. Many noteable europeans were also devout christians yet also intellectuals that rationally examined the world. Religion is a lifestyle, people who simplify it down to it being a simpleton's way of evading science ignore the fact that all of their ancestors were directly religious and also people with a passion to learn. The peoples who invented writing, created the first bombs, and discovered mathematics were all likely staunch traditionalists and religious people like everyone else at the time was in their respective civilizations. The chinese scholars were almost certainly like this and this was the case in most of recorded history as well. As an atheist, these arguments are very valid, and science really don't have counters to them, but a fun thing that Neil Degrass Tyson said during one of his videos got me thinking. He was comparing the intelligence between us and chimps and saying what if there were beings in the universe with that same difference in intelligence that we have with chimps. Our soul wouldn't be half as developed as them, and our understanding of the universe to them would be primary school level. In other words, we might just be extremely stupid. I'm open to the idea that a being beyond our comprehension created this universe, but I refuse to believe it could be our only answer. We know nothing about the universe, so it would be ignorant to do so in my opinion. We can't advance our knowledge if we think we already know the answer is what I believe

@@Galsical I think claiming that "attributing something to God" being bad is purely a mindset issue of a materialistic individual. There's nothing wrong with that. Some things we don't know. There's nothing wrong with that. Materialist scientists do the exact same thing all the time, except with God, they attribute what they don't know to random happenstance and time. God of the gaps and time of the gaps are the exact same idea. Look at how scientists claim that nebulous clouds of gas and dust coalesce into mostly flat orbits. A Christian would say that God put them that way. A scientist would say that they bumped into each other over a REALLY long time until it just happened that way. It's literally the same answer, except one cites that it came to be that way through intent and one says that they came to be that way through randomness. I'm of the mindset that claiming it happened through happenstance is the inferior answer because there is no further investigation to be done. It just happened. Claiming God did it still leaves the question of how He did it. An inquisitive enough mind would still try to answer how He did it in the second scenario.

Define "prove", if you are saying that because we can't "prove" God exist you don't believe in him then you can't believe in almost anything in this universe, to prove means to show that there is no other way, and the only things that I'm aware of that we can prove is math and time, but what we can do is base our beliefs on evidence and the possibility of something to exist, and with that way of thinking God is the only possible answer to this universe. If you feel uneasy to start a debate with me you don't have to reply to me, if you do I'll be happy to debate you :)

one thing: Hes talking about the existance of an "superior" entity, and its true that its compatible with science. But religions aren't... It has been proven so many times that they're human inventions. Scientists and philosophers, the ones who are looking for the truth are more than 95% to believe that religions are human inventions and scientific mistakes in religions very numerous. But if you're talking about the existance of a creator, that is not the god of any religion, science doesn't disprove it. For example if we're living inside of a simulation, there would be a creator.

A (christian) friend recommended me this video. The both of us discuss mainly religion, and do so in good spirit. My comment is a mere summary of my answers on these questions, yet they are my answers. I do not proclaim this as truth, merely my opinion. First argument: false dichotamy (only an omnipresent being, or natural reasons) and my response to the fine tuning argument: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGnQe6VqmJtpmNU Second argument (especially at 5:55): "What if i told u god just existed... somehow". I assume that you believe in miracles, water into wine for example. Why is it that its hard to believe that DNA, which has taken hundreds of millions of years to be created, just cant be that complex and still be natural (evolved without divine influence)? Is God natural? Or is he simple to understand? Also while were at it, does something make it impossible for humanity to create something more complex then DNA? Given enough time ofcourse... Still, would that make human godlike? Third argument: mainly opposable thumbs, and sticking in groups ive heard. Im no biologist of any kind, so i cannot answer this with certainty. Furthermore, what makes 'sense' isnt neciserraly a great argument that its true. I am studying physics, and quantum mechanics is notoriously counterintuitive, it hardly makes 'sense', yet it has been proven time and again to be true. 4th argument (?): the big bang theory doesnt state that there was nothing, poof, something. This is the common media popularised idea, i also thought this was true at first. The big bang theory merely stated that when the universe was very young, it was very hot (yet there was something, which meand it doesnt exclude the big bounce theory FE). The hot soup expanded, making it less hot. Endquote: Max Planck was a genius physicist, yet did not promote christian or biblical views. Not saying this quote is wrong, merely saying that he speaks only for himself. Again, i do not intent to insult anyone or their philosophies, i do however notice logical fallacies in their thinking. I myself have probably made the same mistakes, even in this comment for i am merely human.
@aguyontheinternet8436 Жыл бұрын
In response to the first argument, he pointed out that there were other ways to think about the problem, and that they are equally valid. Although I can see problems with believing the world was made for us, I can also see the problems with believing it wasn't. And for the second argument, although he is more aggressive, especially at 5:55, he's basically trying to get the same point across. That you can believe in a higher power working with evolution to make something complex. For the third point, we have completely detached from your usual science and moved into philosophy, _(why can I think)_ so a biologist would be hard pressed to help you here. And for the fourth point, the Big Bang theory does propose that the universe originated from an extremely hot and dense state, called a singularity. However, it does not specify what existed before or at the moment of the singularity. The theory does not provide a detailed explanation of the initial conditions or the cause of the Big Bang itself. Honestly, it was difficult to break down your sentence on the Big Bang, but I think everything else makes sense.

He wants us to be free, the Lord tries to show us the light, meanwhile the devil tries to decieve us The Lord could drag us all into heaven, but He wants us to choose our own home. The devil wants to drag us, but he can't, because his weaknesses have forced him to resort to cheap tactics such as manipulation.
