Very curious to what this video will say. I’ve had extremely bad experiences with Google Reps and tend to avoid them. They’ve lied multiple times and gave bad recommendations which decreased performance.

Great insights Aaron. I remember I brought this topic during the last training session we had with you in Defined Digital Academy (I'm Milad). Thanks for covering it and I recommend your course and membership program to anyone who is interested in running campaigns professionally. Cheers!

We had a horrific time this Christmas. Set up a bunch of ads with a "Google Rep" My rule has always been 3 ROAS. We make financial decisions to spend whatever we need to to maintain this Roas. Consistantly my ROAS was at least a 3.5 with a spend level that we have never done before (at least 10x more than normal). I began to get suspicious when both Meta and Google were giving me an over all MER of 2. I brought this up several times with the agent and he did bring in his manager. We looked at the Goals and learned the value under the primary was set at $0 and should have been set at $10. Why? I have no idea but after spending tens of thousands of dollars, our true ROAS was actually a 1.5, which in our world is not profitable. The agent did ask for a rebate for my 4th quarter ad spend, however I'm getting it takes 2-3 days to do all kind of testing emails. This was over a week ago. Not at all sure if I will ever see these funds returned or even a credit for the mishap. The only good news is that i have a paper trail and they do record each session. I do not think there was any malicious intent at all, but the fact he did not check to see that the attribution model was set up correctly before we began, was quite earth shattering for us. I'm hoping this doesn't happen to anyone else. This segment was a good reminder.

Also, Google reps who try to reach your customers directly should be fired.

My BEST running campaign is ranked as poor! It was a smart shopping campaign auto updated to PMAX. It has no assets and the google reps are always advising me to add assets. My WORST performing campaign were PMAX using the recommendations of Google reps

My experience with Google Reps is absolute TRASH. Both US and India based reps. I just finished working with USA reps who told me the experience would be different with them. It was AWFUL. I heard from them twice in 3 months. Waste of time. The India based ones are even worse. I just ignore them now and ask them to email their recommendations. One guy sent me the exact same recommendations for 6 accounts. Lol. WASTE OF TIME.

Would you still start a new campaign using smart bidding or best Max Convesions/Manual CPC getting 15-20 conversions over 30 then swapping over to smart bidding? Great episode!

Got many campings ruined after following the Google reps advice. Most of them are tought to push you to implement Google recommendations and setup auto recommendations. I never contact Google reps besides technical issues like clicks from the outside of ads schedule or target locations. My advice is learn your client's business objectives and try to stick with the least expensive strategy. I prefer to folow Aaron's optimization list and do all optimisations manually. Sooner or later the results will emerge.

Google ads has one of the worst customer support. These so called reps are just good for nothing!!!

Yeah, they're actually more like salespeople. I work as a PPC manager, and sometimes they even give bad advice that a beginner might believe. I'm sure they always find a reason to suggest you should pay more for Google.

I wish I could understand the ad reps. They are aggressive like a high pressure salesman, which immediately tells me that they want to help themselves, not to help me. I'm sure they are compensated by how many people they talk to or whatever.

Yep, I’m sure they get bonuses for how much automation they can get an account owner to turn on

Blocked over 20 Google numbers

I gotta start doing this I had one rep schedule a call with a bunch of staff email addresses at a client’s company without even asking I told them to pound dirt and canceled the call
@TWEQDvideo2 ай бұрын
@phadrus they have hundred of numbers but follow a common sequence. I don't answer any of their calls and then block them. Google reps should be done for harassment.

why does google ads purposefully hide daily budget and only displays current budget in all reports? just why? we have to by hand deduce daily budget by sorting through budget changes in change history. for hundreds of campaigns, this is bound to take full days...
@phadrus2 ай бұрын
Not sure what you mean
@jrhsn5yrfgn2 ай бұрын
@@phadrus learn google ads reporting if you want to be sure. i am talking about daily reports with the budget metric. to rerepeat, google ads does not provide you with a daily budget history per campaign, per day. you only get the current set budget per campaign. which is useless for all time daily reports

@@jrhsn5yrfgn I see what you’re saying now. I’ve never felt I needed that, but it’s a good point.
