Can't thank you both enough for this podcast. I have a loved one who suffers from CVS and this is the first bit of information that gives us hope for treatment.

There are no options. My daughter has had this for 7 years & nothing works! My daughter had a 2 month episode. Vomiting with just a sip of water! She is so mentally drained! Now she is just waiting for the next episode!

has she gotten celiac tested?

Has she been diagnosed with CVS? Often times this overlaps with and/or is mistaken for underlying issues (gastroparesis, functional dyspepsia). While we cannot provide medical advice, we encourage you to consult a healthcare provider who specializes in this area. I've lived with this for about 7 years. My teeth are destroyed. My body is destroyed. I'm skin and bones. It's miserable. When i told my doctor what i thought it was and she laughed at me. She didn't believe me. I never went back to a doctor.

I feel your pain. I'm 53 & had this condition my whole life. Had my gallbladder removed, accused of drug seeking, mental health issues and work avoidance. When you have a few "outbreaks" close together you start waking up each morning waiting to be smited again

I just want to know if this happens to anyone else. I know when I’m about to have a episode because I’ll wake up super early in the morning, and my mouth keeps filling up with spit, to the point where I guess I swallow so much, it gets the vomiting going. Them for hours I throw up spit and stomach bile for hours, i usually pass out after a while and wake up fine.

My husband had a stroke 5+ years ago and finds himself having this issue 1-2×s a month... could the stroke have something to do with it? Where can i find a neurogastrologist?
@GastroGirl4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment and sharing a little of your story. We cannot provide medical advice and highly recommend you consult with your husband's healthcare provider. As for neurogastroenterologists, they can often be found at many large GI centers. Where are you located?
