I wish your advice for professional helps was helpful . I’ve seen 4 physios and a chiro and none helped . No one listens . My only real help has been a rolfer who is the only one who actually checked my pelvis and was it was rotated and twisted . And it was obvious to me when she did this . She has helped gently adjust and have so much relief but your videos explain why and then how to maintain them in the right place . I am fit and strong with a sitting/ then very physically demanding job ( EMS) which is where I was injured . Which is why I couldn’t understand this pain!!! I wish I was in El Paso and not in Canada lol but I think between you and her I can get back on track

Finally i figured out because of your video, i have problems with my Sciatica. I am desperate since years, most problems i have when i lay down, the nights are horrible, it starts from my butt down to the big toe, my big toe is numb and the whole leg on the back is burning and painful, the side of my thigh to the knee is killing me. I am afraid of laying down because it starts immediately, no matter what sleeping positions i try, nothing helps. I cant really afford going to a therapist so i need to find good videos on your channel to help myself. Can you recommend a video please? Thank you so much for this video, you are amazing!

I am so glad I found this video. I have been searching for three weeks for an answer. I’ve watched many of your videos. I thought it was this and then I thought it was that and I’m seriously thinking it is my piriformis. I’m going to have an x-ray done this week and I think I would like to go have physical therapy. I’m pretty sure the x-rays not gonna show anything. And I don’t want to have an MRI if at all possible.

When driving, never a problem. The problem is when I get out of the driver’s seat. When I get into the drivers seat, big pain for about one minute then it goes away. From Maryland.
@epmanualphysicaltherapyАй бұрын
Hi Truckersteve, We're so sorry to hear that you are suffering from lower back pain. The situation that are in when getting out of the drivers seat can be common with either piriformis or sciatica issues. The best thing you can do at this time is to strengthen your core and glutes to help stabilize the pelvis. This help take pressure of the nerve and provide relief but it is very important that you are being gentle with yourself. An inversion table might also be helpful to help stretch out your back. We have a video about them that you might find helpful. You can access it here: “Is an Inversion Table Helpful for Back Pain?” kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGeUeqB9hsl5iq8 We hope you found this information helpful to you. We'd love to hear how you are doing as you progress.🙌 Please take care!

Hi Truckersteve, You're Welcome! We hope you found this information helpful to you. We have a couple of playlist you may find helpful. If you are dealing with piriformis issues click here: “Piriformis Help” kzbin.info/aero/PLJVIPiFvv1mY14SRyEPt-OFePBSKvYczH If you are dealing with Sciatica help click here: "Sciatica Pain Exercises & Stretches" kzbin.info/aero/PLJVIPiFvv1maZPQPPtirn4oxj8oCPuIMR Start with one or two exercises, beginning with the smallest range of motion and the lowest intensity. As you feel stronger, you can gradually increase both the range of motion and intensity. It’s best to do these exercises every day throughout the day. Aim to tire out the muscle without losing form or control. Consistency is key. Always avoid working through pain; soreness and mild discomfort are normal, but pain is not. My pain is in my right butt, but it generally radiates down the side or front of my thigh and sometimes down past the knee to the ankles. It primarily comes on when I'm in bed, around 2-3 am, but will usually go away if I get up and walk around for a couple minutes. So I'm not sure what I have.

There is so much variation in my symptoms that it is hard to pinpoint the root cause and I think I might have multiple things going wrong along with muscle imbalances. I'm going to look for a PT that does manual therapy or a chiropractor that also does manual therapy. Mine doesn't start in my butt and run down the back of my leg. Sometimes I feel it in my back, a little bit in my butt then it runs down the outside of my leg or the ache in my whole leg just gets really severe and I cannot walk after 10/15 min. OR the pain will run down the inside of my leg to my ankle and foot. Or it starts at the furthest spot, usually my foot or shin with numbness, foot drop and deep ache, and by the time it is back up in my thigh and lower back I cannot walk. I know I have piriformis issues too because the middle of my butt cheek is sore to the touch but excruciating, I tear up from acupressure there and it will not release.

Hello dr david. Do you think chiropractic can solve piriformis syndrome? I’ve been aching in my butt cheek almost 2 months. Sometimes my left hip and sometimes my right hip. Just exactly like you described in the video. Could you give me some advice on chiropractic?
@gipsiesrealm Жыл бұрын
My question is how do you get a balance in muscle i had a groin pull on my left side about 5 years ago Now I’ve had problems on my left hip probably piriformis for about two years when I start hiking I can’t go very far because I get pain going from the back of my butt cheek to the front of the hip and probably from walking cricket all this time now my right knee is starting to have problems where my meniscus is. I looked at when your videos for that for it might be out of alignment and I’m trying to work on that because it went out yesterday after riding for a couple hours. I have horses , so I’m limping around today so what I want to know is how do you get your body to be even I have had four C-sections so my abdominal wall is not strong I do have the syndrome where are you are back is very curved and my butt sticks out. I still have a bunch, but I have to work hard to keep it.
