Mr Ramos, very true I have a good friend who got his CDL through C.R he was really effective with his job and learned lot's. He was making 2,000 a week hauling loads of garlic from Gilroy to new Jersey man bro I knew this guy which started from the bottom and went sky's a limit.

I use to work for them about a year ago. It was great at giving me a start in the business but the downside for me was home time. It was really difficult for me to get home time to Philadelphia and when I did my DM would hound and cheat me on time. He would count the half day dropping off the load as a day off and would always call me to see what time I'm getting on the truck. The cpm is trash but that's expected. The big nope for me was the pressure they put on me about becoming a mentor at 6 months. I felt like it would be a disservice to the new guys if they were trained by a rookie. I went to J.b.hunt after 7 months and went local

Hi, Glad I found this video. I have been trying to get accepted to attend the CDL school in Laredo, Texas. For some reason, I don't get called. When I call they tell me there are no spots available in my area or the lines hang up. (not much information provided) Would you happen who I can get a hold of besides a recruiter? Thank you!

I work for CR England (Driver) for about 1 1/2 years, yes I do recommend CR England, I went back to Auto Mechanic, I use to be an auto mechanic before becoming a truck driver, my boss got sick and I went back working the same place as mechanic. I went to CR England trucking school and worked for them, it has few things like they never want to give you time off but the biggest problem is truck driving is a hard job because your body is not moving all your muscles dies I had such a hard time going back to mechanic I had no power in my arms my legs muscles were not strung slowly I recovered. You have to do exercise religiously I don't know how you gonna do it because of crazy schedules and always under pressure but you have to make it #1 priority or work Dollar General account except that I do not recommend to do that it took me over 10 month to master backing and still it was nerve braking, I strongly recommend OTR in the beginning because Dollar General are retail stores with a very small back area and you have to drive in city residential area with tight traffic most likely you have to start the backing from the street talk about a nerve brake pedestrians walk a car snick in, why they don't have back up cameras on those big trucks and no reverse light no bip bip warning, DOT officials are sleeping. (They don't want to spend money)

Just got my CDL, I'm thinking of going with Swift for my first year of experience. I'd look at CR England also, but I don't think they're hiring in my area in Florida.

They are hiring in Florida, lake city to be exact . The fleet supervisor is Phil, I love him! And the dispatchers are ALL amazing people!! They’re a dedicated fleet, target is their customer. The ONLY reservation that I had with the fleet is the transition to being a team fleet. But if you’re okay with the truck constantly in motion and making money, that’s the fleet for you! They run the I-95 corridor and some routes head out west towards LA .

@@tukiitucker5215 Sounds good, does the Lake City location also do solo driving? And who do I talk to for getting a job there?

@@Steve-Seinfeld local trucking is not bad either such as LTL and food service are accepting fresh CDL holders.

Local in a huge state like California doesn’t mean your going home everyday or every week, the longer you stay out the more money you make on an account like mine.

I always have a quiet moment every time money gets brought up. Trucking is a career. Not your 9-5 job, you care nothing about. Yet ppl always look at how to get the most money. How about you keep that rig rolling down the road safely then we can talk perks…

@@augustineramos_ Damn an entire month. Back when I went it was 40 hours of your mentor in the passenger with you and 30 hours of just driving with him just in the cab. Ended up getting done early because the second guy who was training went to go get his license and never came back to the truck so I was the only one driving
