I appreciate genuine honesty. Thank you Few few KZbinrs ever admit the issues with there builds.

There is always a side not many people discuss! Everyone makes it seem like it’s super easy with no problems. But realistically they have those problems but never show them or talks about them!

Brandon, you've experienced many things that I've tried to warn people about but I've not had any issues with my turbo Corolla as you have. The #1 thing I tell people is don't over boost it, don't chase power since the rest of the car can't handle the power and parts will break. I'm running 8.5psi of boost and it gives me 230bhp and the car is plenty of fun with that much power. It also keeps everything else operating reliably without issues. In fact, I'm still on my OEM clutch as I choose to not abuse it from a stop. I don't care about 0-60 times and I wait for it to hook up and then I get on it and the factory clutch has held strong. When it's time to replace it I'll get a stage 1 clutch so I don't stress the rest of the system. Mine shifts like butter but I bought mine new so I've taken care of it, hard to know when you get a used one. Hopefully replacing the engine mounts will help but that is a part that wears out with time and use. I've done a lot of suspension and chassis work to my turbo Corolla and taken it on drives with my GR Corolla group. I was able to keep up with them but I had to work harder to do it so you can make your Corolla even more fun to drive. And sound deadening helps a lot, I did that soon after I bought mine new, doors, trunk lid, entire trunk, under the rear seat, under the hood, and then added a under hood insulator. I'm glad to see that that you aren't giving up, just dial things back on the tune so other parts can handle things better. 😉 I absolutely love driving my 2009 Corolla Turbo S 5MT! I driving it 4.5 hours to the souther OR Coast this Sunday for a car meet with a large group of us so that should be fun! Feel free to reach out to me if you need some help or have any questions. I'm going on 8 years since I turbocharged mine!

I have a question man. I have a 2010 automatic Toyota Corolla S and can I put a performance chip on it?
@Owensti2 ай бұрын
@eduardoarcos5210 any performance chips are a scam. They don’t do shit, Just sell your car and get a performance car it’s easier man.

@@Owensti hahaha I wish it was easy even buying a car bro in this economy everything is hard to fucking buy😅got my 2010 Corolla and i for sure want a better car but I only have abt 4-5k saved up for a car at the moment and my Corolla would only sell for abt 5k not even to be honest
@jimsgaragetoys2 ай бұрын
@@Owensti I don't necessarily agree with this though as anyone can do that. I love having g a 2009 Corolla Turbo S 5MT that is very different from what anyone can go buy and I built it. I took a solid car that was very reliable with excellent build quality and improved on it in every way while keeping the reliability. I get a lot of attention at car meets on what I built.

Been following for a few years now, i also have a 10th gen and have been watching you wrench on your cars, actually inspired some modifications in my own ride. I decided to keep the drivetrain stock and instead got into motorcycles to satiate my performance itch Love the bike for sporting performance and i love the corolla for its comfort and utility- keeping it as my reliable daily, have had it since less than 100k miles and my hope is to get it over 300k with aspriations to push 1mil since i keep up on the maintenance :) Best of luck with your build! I look forward to future updates

I appreciate you following the videos! Totally understand keeping the drivetrain stock on these cars! Will last a life time if it is taken care of! I don’t ride motorcycles, or modify them. But I would imagine they might be slightly cheaper than a car? But I would imagine they are a blast to drive!

Hi, I'm trying to put my 2015 Corolla into service, but I'd like to check the oil pressure, how did you do it? Thanks from Costa Rica.
@BrandonStellmach11 күн бұрын
These car do not have any way to check the oil pressure. If you have a good enough scan tool, you should be able to find that setting that will show the current oil pressure.
