Drive a LP Gallardo: it will absolutely change your mind about the Gallardo. I owned a pre-LP 2006 Gallardo and currently have a LP 570-4. They are night and day different. The pre-LP is also *significantly* better when someone has done the RWD conversion. With AWD, the car sometimes feels lumbering. But, it feels much more agile when converted into RWD. PS: asbsolutely agree with your decision to sell your Gallardo. It seems like it would have been a complete nightmare to fix.

Any chance of you getting hold of the current Giulia Quad to review? I'm strongly considering one, having done E92 M3 and 991.2 GTS previously. Room in the back for my Weimaraner is a must, hence no two-seaters for me. The Quad's options have diminished significantly though and I have a feeling they've even done away with the carbon roof and reviews seem to suggest that they've lost some of the previous steering feel, which is a bit of a concern. Steadily heading to 200k - well done on that and I'm looking forward to seeing some Scud content before the winter.

When old Mr. Bowles retired (in the late ‘50s or early ‘60s, I think), my grandfather bought the business, sold shares and, as the managing director, built it into the largest General Motors dealership in the UK (4 separate sites in the late 60s was a large business!). I was raised by my grandparents and have fond memories of visiting him at work (and sitting in the Bedford truck cabs), before he died shortly before I turned five years old. Sodium filled valves? wasnt that the same thing that caused an issue with the 355? granted this is 20 years on, no wait 1995 was longer than that ago, also maybe with the seats, maybe its not width but its height as maybe its not tall enough, and long enough to get the spine safely in there against the padding, I mean you can even see it at 6:48, the seat needs to be further back and taller, as its not big enough for your spine like hell maybe it even needs the tall person seats I saw someone put on a countach LP400 here on youtube, where they basically cut the bottom down and the back out a little so you could get more of yourself in the thing as it could be that it just doesnt give you enough room to stretch out, also lamborghini did make V8's, why not look at those, granted its italian, and you live in england, that's like having a rare electronics collection stored in a leaky warehouse in the rain center of london, but you did somehow find an 81 C3 vette in england somehow.

@4321GO_Simon3 жыл бұрын
The leather isn’t “funky”. It’s creased, because the only way to gain access to the interior door mechanisms is to fold the door cards upwards. You won’t find a Gallardo that’s had a replacement window lifter, locking mechanism or mirrors that doesn’t exhibit this creasing. As for corrosion…… There’s ONE blemish on the entire body! It’s around 5mm in diameter, on the header rail, above the windscreen. I’m pretty anal, but it’s too small and almost unnoticeable to bother me. That’s it. On a car that’s 16 years old and driven daily.

Cheers James 😂! The general condition of the bodywork actually astounds me!! Yes, I give it the odd, fairly infrequent wash. And I have t detailed once a year or so. And the front bumper and bonnet have been repainted a couple of times, because of the he inevitable stone chips. But frankly, given the usage, age, mileage and the fact that’s it’s lived (exclusively) outside for the he last 8 years (albeit covered), it’s in bloody brilliant nick. And that has very little to do with me. Instead, it’s testament to Lamborghini’s astoundingly good, original paintwork! I really AM impressed; it’s genuinely the best overall factory finish of any car I’ve owned in my 35 years driving.
