I also traded my 04 Cobra for a new 14 GT500 (which I still have). Both were kept totally stock. I've been a car nut for over 50 years and in my experience, the 04 Terminator was plenty of car for the street. That car was set up just about perfectly from the factory and was a blast to drive. The GT500 is overkill and insane in my opinion. But it packs over ten years of Ford factory blower engineering experience and refinement and is the pinnacle of pre Coyote, mod motor tech. My prior Stangs were 71 Boss and 2001 Cobra.

So many things you said don't add up. For one you can make 800-900rwhp on stock motor with a big gen 4 whipple or gen 3 vmp. If you don't think the engine can take it(which it can). You then say you are going to be building the gt500 motor? Doesn't make sense. And a bigger blower? A big loss in money on your part.

The stock Termi actually does hold more than the GT500. Termi has Manley forged vs powder forged in GT500. Rods will start bending around 700 to 800 hp.

I think the pistons being the weak link in the terminators is a myth. I think the fuel and cooling system was inadequate. Mine was stock with a pulley and a 100 shot, never a problem. The guy I sold it too pretty much fully built the car and compound boost, was making 4 digit power on the stock motor minus cams.
@a29s125 жыл бұрын
Wait until he gets a bad batch of gas or the fuel pump gets a little weak on a hot day or the thermostat sticks. POP. With better pistons it would have a much better chance of surviving adverse conditions. The pistons a most definitely the weak link.

I'm glad you are happy with your trade. However, you are off on what the Cobra can make on a stock long block, W/supercharger. Names of guys that made over 800+ to the tire with a stock 03-04 long block. Myself, Bryan Crane, David Short. I'm sure there would be others.. But you along with so many others have been fed inaccurate information on the subject, and a lot of guys cant say their motors are stock sealed anymore. Bryan made over 800 before he got the motor built from Modular Head Shop. David made like 816 corrected to the tire, and on a tall drag tire. You even herd it from Starkey on one of your dyno videos, that drag or soft tires lose numbers on the rollers. Just means that Davids car would have made even more on a hard tire. My car had 100K miles on the stock long block and made 829/757 to the tire with a G3, and a hard tire. Davids car made pretty close to the same with the G4 boost for boost and a soft tire. So if he had a hard tire on, it would have surpassed my number easy. Three different cars, from different states, all different tuners, and different dynos. Stock sealed 03-04 cobra engines. Will they make more with cams and head work.... Yep. But they are capable of over 800 without them, and not just with a turbo. Again I'm happy for you. just think the myth that the stock Cobra HP max with a Supercharger is not accurate.

Without a doubt Andrew, the 2003-2004 "Iron Fist Lead Foot" Terminator will go down as the strongest factory engine Ford ever produced. It was problematic in the early days just to get that car to level it was with Ford being cheap. Now moving on to the 2013-2014 GT500, that car is the pinnacle of handling/performance wrapped into one for that era of car. In my mind 03 Cobra > 13 GT500 in terms of mod potential/performance. However, I am excited to see the GT500 take off on the channel being a hardcore SN95 guy. You opened my eyes upon s197 and I am willing to pick one up for all around fun and enjoyment.

That said I love Cobras but I prefer the comfort and looks of my 09 GT500. No it'll never make 900-1000whp on the stock motor but I've never seen a Cobra that could stay with it in the corners(modded suspension) and the "look" of a lowered GT500 with the right set of wheels and tires is just a better looking car than any new edge IMO....

I've seen some videos from guys like Alejandro Flores that reccomend the 11-12 gt500 over 13-14 gt500 and I was wondering if you could make a video giving your opinion on that seeing as I'm looking into getting one

I also have a 08 GT500 that was owned by the Tasca family. The car has everything done to it and it makes like 800wheel and I haven't had a problem with the car granted it only has 3000miles on the car and the best part top me is it's signed by the Tasca family Carroll Shelby and John Force and everyone went for a ride in the car.I thought I had a lot of mustangs lol.I also have a all original vibrant red 93 cobra with 20thousand original miles.I have a ton of people that want to buy that car and it isn't happening lol.Alo a 87 gt t top car and a 92 lx and a few others.Iam really curious what you think of both cars cobra and you're 500.I don't have a 03 04 but in the future I am getting a 04 mystic chrome cobra.There just not that easy to find.I basically want a stock version because like my 93 cobra the 03 04 are becoming scarce in the shape I want it.

My opinion may not matter but here it is I’m on board with you growing the Chanel the fact you got rid of everything that brought me to your Chanel is very upsetting especially you didn’t even take your time it’s like before we could heal good from loosing turdzilla then BOOM the cobra is gone as well that’s what hurts the most not your growth just how it seems like you didn’t care how some of your long term subscribers may have felt but that’s just my thoughts

I see where you were coming from. I absolutely do care about subscribers thoughts but I also love cars and owning, trading, modifying, selling, and fixing is all part of the fun.
