DO I STILL HATE THESE MIDDLE EASTERN PERFUMES

Truly, thank you for de-influencing! I am just starting to learn that most of the time I would rather put my $ towards the real thing or just another high end fragrance. I declutterred 3 ME fragrances just this week after letting them sit for months and still not getting what everyone was saying about them. I’m also 40 and want to wear something that makes me feel great every single day. My only true love from the ME’s that I’ve purchased is Khamrah Qawhah…I paid $23 and was gagged by how good and unique it is. I have and love Angels share, but Khamrah smells unique to me and unbelievable quality for the price.

Rifaaqat was masculine to my nose when I first sprayed it. But... A week later, and now a month later, it smells more vanilla to my nose than incense and I loooooove it! But I find it more of a cosy stay-at-home fragrance. It is so comforting to me, I don't find it to be a sexy man-eater fragrance as it is often described by perfume reviewers. 💗

I like the Quissa ones but the Forbidden Sugar was a huge disappointment for me too. I have had luck with masceration on several perfumes, but as I rule, if I dislike it initially, I usually continue to!

I’m so glad this popped up bc I just commented on someone else’s video asking about Bayn and Rifaaqat and asking do they have to sit. Bayn is ok but my others were a best soon as I opened them but I still let them sit but love them right out the box (HER confession, Khir, Angham, and Sehr 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

I agree with you 100% on every Middle Eastern you reviewed I had them all and ended up giving them to my daughter! Rifaaqat was the only one that was an exact dupe to my nose with Babycat I did a wear test on each arm and couldn’t tell them apart but it was macerated for months before I used it Although I love that scent profile on my husband not myself too masculine in my nose, it’s delicious on him smoky vanilla yum 😋

Hey chichi, for Rifiqaat, I just stumbled on the Maison Alhabram version of BabyCat called Ebene and Boi!! That one is so so good and I prefer it to Babycat. It's so vanilla heavy, smoky and so delicious... You're right, Rifaqaat leans masculine. I had it be gave to my husband and it smells delicious on him

The Guidance dupe is my absolute favorite! I have to admit though in the beginning I wasn’t vibing with it. I let her sit for a month and after that, I couldn’t put her down. I used it as my summer Guidance because the OG is way too heavy handed in the summer 😂 I usually pair the Guidance dupe with Level 13 from Brown Sugar Babe ( inspired by Le Labo Another 13) and oooh it’s chef’s kiss , so good!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I am right there with you about some of these fragrances not smelling like perfume. And that’s my little gripe about this gourmand era we’re currently in. Perfumes houses are over doing it atp. Everyone wanna be ate but can we please still smell like perfume. And Caramel Cascade was such a fail, mine was out the door as soon as it came in.

I agree with you. Gourmand is everywhere and nobody's making original perfumes anymore. I love gourmand because of the sweetness but i don't want to literally smell like ice cream, baked bread, and whatnot. That's crazy.😂

Hi Chi Chi You saved me from disappointment on all of them except Tahara Vanilla. Everyone was saying it’s one of the most beautiful your-skin-but-better scents… but when I got it I was like what is everyone talking about? Then I watched your review and it was exactly as you described-it just smelled like baby powder and nothing else. I could have done so much better with those $50 😭😭😭😭 Btw is it just me or most of my ME perfumes turn powdery in the dry down. That happened with Nebras yesterday (even though I enjoyed it for the first few hours). I noticed that about Bois de Vanille too. These arab knows no sleep. Only arab i own is khamrah and khair pistachio. No shelling coins unless its recommended from my trusted reviewer 😂

Qissa delicious and Bayn al asrar have been such disappointments to me, they've been sitting for a few months now and not much of an improvement :))) Qissa is just so bland to me, just a sweet smell, nothing else about it, i can't even put my finger on what it is i'm smelling, and i think certain roses in certain perfumes can smell tomato-y point to you tomatoes dried in the sun reference, i get that too :)) Bayn i think has some type of rose in it or olibanum maybe is what gives it that specific smell that i definitely don't enjoy
