I couldn't be prouder of this film. This is the most personal one I've made to date, and our entire team were absolute stars! Getting the opportunity to tell a story that matters to me, to raise awareness about an important topic noone speaks about, and to represent a character/community that we almost never get to see on screen...those are the reasons I became a filmmaker. Stories matter. And I feel so privileged to have gotten to make this. I really hope everyone enjoys, and please do share it with family and friends! It really helps spread the word. @@hamed6446 all the acting was great but especially that of the 'gambler'. Really captured the intense level of stress a compulsive gambler is under and how easy it is fall into it. The setting and other characters made it believable. Good quality production. I liked the effects showing the money going up and down etc. and how his moods changed with each move. Really effective way of illustrating the range of feelings a gambler goes through and how tense and painful it becomes. Well done all of you, fantastic work!!

I loved this, the only criticism i can give, is the last 5 minutes - I would have had the older chap see that Bilal was gambling, there was no indicators that he suspected it. Aside from this, it did put across the "urge" to bet, very well indeed, i just wish that perhaps during the end scene, it was Ryan - not the older fella doing the comforting. (as it was in place for him to possibly be aware of the issues)

That's a really insightful comment, thank you SO much for sharing it. I'll definitely take that on board. Our reasoning behind Steve being the one to catch the signs, is that so many ex-gamblers from our research really destroyed the relationships of those that were closest to them. His best mate. His mum. His boxing coach. But Steve basically implies he's an ex gambler at the end by saying "Ive felt what you've felt right now....etc". Steve is the only one whose been through it, and so he can figure out that Bilal has changed, spends more time alone in the toilet, is more anxious, is more irritable etc. I love that were discussing these things though. The truth of it is there is never one solution, and we definitely need to have discussions about the best ways to tackle these things
