Thats a cool new mold! Those jigs would work well at a pond by me. Its got a silt bottom and you could just plow a 6th Sense Hogwalla through it. Thanks for sharing Joe! Hope you are doing alright. Its been cold and icy here, so no fishing for me.
@ParabellumFishing Жыл бұрын
I bet a Hogwalla would do great on one of these heads! Been busy but surviving man. I hope all is well with you. It's Florida cold here. No ice lol

Very impressive that mold poured very clean. Definitely an awesome station you got there. Heck if you get hungry looks like you got a can of Spam with you 😂

I was told that having the Spam would help the jigs release from the mold easier. I still dont get how, but it was a trusted source. 🤣

If you pause the video at 04:27 it looks like that Darter Head Jig is flexing a bicep muscle... ... in other news, I need to lay off the propane fumes. Great video. I've never tried these but I may buy some from you. I'm wondering how they compare to basic Texas rigging since the line is tied a little bit back, rather than coming thru the nose of the lead. Might be a nice lazy-man's way of Texas rigging. I can't tell you how many times I've tied on my EWG hook, only to realize I forgot to slip on the bullet weight first 😂

Nice video! I’ve been wondering about buying that mold also. Might have to do it just to have something a little different.

It's definitely an easy one to work with. I got it because I already stock the hook it uses and wanted to get more use from them. I am looking forward to seeing how they fish. Thank you!

I tell ya, I am happier with the finished product than I thought I would be. That happens sometimes with these molds. in order to get the extra cavity, they get a little monkey towards the handle. Not a big deal. SPAM is whats for dinner!! Thanks as always bro!👊🏻

🎵HEY JOE WHERE YOU GOIN WITH THAT JIG IN YOUR HAND 🎵🎵🎵LOL I lost everyone when my computer crashed found you on James channel ((Got new laptop and internet antenna from Santa )) We used to melt old wheel weights from a tire shop using the oven in the kitchen Wow have you got a great set up Checking the play list now Congrats on your channel growth CYU

Hey Ray! Good to hear from you man! I was actually asking about you a little while ago. I hope all well up there in the frozen north! My dad and I used to melt the wheel weights too. Back then, they were lead. No they are some other non toxic alloy. Useless really. Hope to see you back in action soon!

mold pours clean looks like with very little effort you could modify the mold to make bullet weights notch it for a center pin
@ParabellumFishing Жыл бұрын
I am definitely going to try it. They do make a bullet weight mold, but I dont like the shape of the cone. These would produce a typical bullet style cone. Should be easy enough to do. Thanks Bruce!

@@ParabellumFishing The bullet weight mold is stuck in the 60's for sure they look terrible

Looks a lot like a Texas Rig - I rarely use anything over 1/8oz and stick to 1/16 most of the time, however I can see a use for these flipping the cypress with a craw lure
@ParabellumFishing Жыл бұрын
I think the 1/8 will get the most use from me too. maybe 1/4 if I feel the need to bomb it out there. I rigged a couple up, Weedless as a Texas rig and stands perfectly horizontal. would be good for jigging from a boat.
@CrankingYanking4 ай бұрын
@@ParabellumFishing Tried these out on the pond today, they worked well depending on the vegetation they were being pulled through. Same could be said for the Texas rig I suppose. The eye being 90° from the from the hook shank is different for sure and I think it causes some of the smaller slimy vegetation to get caught on the line but other than that they worked well coming through the weeds. I wonder is they make the same jig with the line tie at the nose of the bullet ?
@ParabellumFishing4 ай бұрын
@@CrankingYanking Thanks for the feedback! Owner makes a jig head with the line tie at the nose. I have a buddy who really likes them. A little pricey, but cool jigs
