19:29 I must say, what a beautiful little stream. It’s definitely difficult to fish euro style in 10-15 mph wind. I would have swapped it a mop. They are good at staying down in wind.

Love that feeling. That was an awesome fish. Glad to see that the 10'-7" 2wt can handle jig streamers. Gonna buy one of those rods. Just need to be patient enough to see which one in the lineup will match my fishing. Really want the 1 wt for small bug single nymph setups. Just don't want to be underpowered when I find a fish like that one. Looking forward to more reviews of those rods.

Dammit, you're the one who took those big browns out of there. I fished that run in the blistering cold, (might have been the same day from the sound of things) froze the tips of my fingers off, literally, and never caught a fish! And i knew they were in there because I've caught them before. I figure they're escapees from up above. On a side note, when you walked out the door i thought to myself where's the reel?

Winter fishing isn't all midge larva/nymphing... you never know what's gonna work until you get on the water... They will rise even in winter if the conditions are right. Last time I was in CO... I was expecting to nymph/micro streamer the entire time. But they were rising so I put on dryfly, and it was fish on from there.

It’s called a mono rig Curtis you should try it sometime lol way better than those fips limes.

@@caguas97 a mono rig is a nymphing rig where you forego the expensive thin competition style coated fly line and just run straight mono to your indicator and tippet. It casts way better and eliminates multiple knots passing through your guides without fancy splicing. Some people dont like them because they can be hard to hold onto when it’s cold and can have memory issues if you’re running thick mono in the cold. Fips lines are the coated euro nymphing lines that are required in fips competitions.

Curtis, you are freezing while Cheech is in sunny Argentina. I was going to buy a Euro Rod-Diamondback in 3 wt., but you are out of stock. Would the next generation be worth looking at? My friends want me to go down the rabbit hole that is Euro Nymphing.
