TWENTY THREE YEARS AGO WHEN I GOT MARRIED AND ON DAY OF MY NIKAH WHEN MY UNCLE AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS SAT TO DISCUSS MY DOWRY, I CALLED OUT AND SAID THAT I DO NOT WANT ANYTHING ELSE BUT A HOLY QUR’AN AS MY DOWRY. THEREFORE WE WENT AND GOT A QUR’AN FROM THE BOOKSTORE OF THE MOSQUE AND HAD OUR NIKAH. I STILL HAVE THAT QUR’AN AND READ IT.
