The Flayed Ones kill you, even if after long-winded torture, so it'd still be a wonderful way to go out. Maybe even get a bit of praise from Korne or some other Chaos God for being ballsy enough to get tortured in the name of an honorable death.

They evolved on a planet that was barely in the livable zone of their system, meaning it was bombarded with heavy solar radiation. The necrontyr subsequently lived short and shitty lives, all of them being subject to various kinds of organ failures and other gross, severe health issues. This is why it was so easy for the C'Tan to essentially trick them into becoming their robot slaves by offering them undying, painless lives. Then they literally ate their souls... So yeah.

Just read that one myself. It was really good. It was cool to see the Necrons brought into 3 dimensions rather than the frankly dull 2D unstoppable killing machines that they were before. They are still immensely powerful but now I see their strength as more brittle than I did before. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is into 40K.

I hope this community will see this and answer my question. I am a collector and I like to buy issues that give you pieces to assemble stuff. Owning these things gives me joy I don't play with them. Should I go for a 100 issue warhammer book complete with miniatures and different factions or an 60cm r2d2 complete with facts about the franchise which is also close to 100 issues.

The impuerium magazine is a great way to collect warhammer models, there's 4 factions alone in the standard purchase Space marines Sisters of battle Adeptus mechanicus And necrons, but if you get the premium purchase you'll also get Chaos space marines Tyranids T'au And orks And it's pretty cheap for what you're getting because you're pretty much getting two armies (necrons and space marines) and then smaller forces, you also get paints and brushes if you want to paint them and each issue has instructions on how to build and paint them Also looking for issues from the previous magazine line "conquest" is also a great way to collecting models

honestly not sure if you can rely on that book for accurate lore the whole germaphobe thing might just be a quirk of that tomb worlds maintenance procedures going wrong during the 60mill year sleep plenty of necrons are desperately trying to rebecome biological, including crypteks disassembling creatures to find a way and probing very deep into creatures just in the hope of finding something different similarly, its the first time subminds have ever been mentioned pretty sure the writer just wanted to add silly quirky things to make these things, that abandoned their life long ago and lost their soul along with it, leaving only emptiness, some humanity because humans are easier to write hammer and anvil is a nice necron book because the writer can get his need to write humans out of him with the sisters of battle in the story that way he can follow necron lore far more closely
