Baldi can hear you whenever you enter a locker. They are used to protect you against other characters. You CAN use a "WD No Squee" on the locker to make it silent however, and You will be able to hide in it with Baldi not hearing. Also, Dr Reflex can hit other characters with the hammer, Which entirely disables them from affecting the player.

15:45 The issue with the lockers is that Baldi's way of tracking you is entirely based on his sense of hearing, so he can hear the lockers being opened. That means there are only two ways of using them effectively, either when you're so far away from him that Baldi can't tell where the source of the noise is, or using the WD No-Squee item on the locker which gets rid of its noise, letting you enter it without alerting Baldi unless you were in his line of sight upon entering the locker

IDK If you figured it out later in the video, but the reason the surround sound felt off is because the way sound works has changed; It now follows realistic pathing (As in, if you're in a room with only one doorway, and a sound comes from outside, it'll always come "from" the door; because sound can't pass through walls)

I think this might help you out Ryan. In the setting menu there’s an option for subtitles and it’s actually really useful since it tells you what they say. BUT the usefulness of it is that the subtitle box grows and shrinks depending on who or what sounds played in an area. Hope you give this a try

Just a couple tips in case it helps The chalkboard enemy will activate if you stand in the room long enough with him, when activated he will lock the room and alert Baldi. To deal with him, just keep an eye on all the blackboards on the rooms and don’t stay too long if you see him. The drink fountains completely restore your stamina when you interact with them, so use that to your advantage. Also the locker makes a sound that alerts baldi when used, so either use it to hide from characters that are not Baldi, or use WD to prevent the locker from making sound

great video! though you seemed to be struggling with a few things, so I'll list thins many people probably have already said to increase your chance to see these: the dusty chalkboards hide you from Baldi like the math machines did (only need to break sight for a bit I'm pretty sure, however, he can still catch you in the dust cloud if he touches you) the faculty tag makes you immune to the every effect of people, besides Baldi himself (not too sure about the doctor however, as I have never tested this personally) the wd no squee makes the lockers silent, making them work as hiding spots on Baldi the chalk face guy spawns in rooms specifically to prevent hiding, you can quickly scan the blackboards for some sort of face, and if he's not there, you're safe in the room (I believe he can only teleport between rooms when you're in the halls?) Also, if Baldi is coming when you're with the doctor, I'd recommend ignoring the doctor, as he does seem to take several seconds to go get his smashing mallet and find you again

You're right about the sound changing. Basically, every wall between you and Baldi makes him quieter. (Technically it finds a path from you to Baldi, and it gets quieter depending on how many steps it took, but what I said earlier is easier to think about)

Great video, you always make my day with these, and you deserve a win at BB+, so I have some essential tips that I think you should know: 1. On floor 1, you want to go as fast as possible, you'll get a time bonus that'll allow you to buy the map for floor 2 2. On floor 1, try and get as many good items as you can, the ones you should prioritize are: Bsoda: It's common, easy to use, and really helpful Zesty bar: Good for running, since you can outrun a lot of characters in Plus, not as good as Bsoda, but just as common Faculty nametag: All characters will ignore you except for Baldi, First Prize, and the test, so a really good item, it's pretty rare however Grapple: If you find one, try and save it for the finale during F3, or use it sooner if you have to, its the most broken item in the game, but INCREDIBLY rare and pretty expensive Apple: Just a good safety measure, takes up one item slot and really expensive Quarter: Baldi essential, good for EA (Quarter) doors, super common and can get you the top 2 items Teleporter: Incredibly rare, but can get you out of a pinch most of the time Boots: Will prevent any character from pushing you such as gotta sweep, first prize and cloudy copter 3. On floor 2, doing the field trips can get you a LOT of YTPS, allowing you to buy many good items for Floor 3 4. Tips for characters: Playtime will cancel the minigame if she loses sight of you Arts and Crafters will teleport you and Baldi to an elevator you don't have, super useful Baldi cannot catch you while on a separate gravity, or while he is squished by Dr. Reflex, or if he doesn't have a ruler Principal knocks on doors so you can use that to your advantage First Prize cannot push any character into you The bully can be sent to detention and blocks the sight of any character except principal when he sends him to detention The floating chalk face will lock you in rooms and alert Baldi if you sit in one too long Beans' gum and first prize while pushing you can be cut with scissors Do not disobey Mrs. Pomp XD Dr. Reflex isn't all that bad, even when avoiding him, the only drawback is that you can't collect the notebooks, and you can leave the test whenever you want The test is a character only on floor 3 that when met, will only move when you look away, he pauses time which is helpful if Baldi is close, and if he gets to you, he will blind only you for 2 minutes 5. Plan a route for floor 3 on the map before starting, it really helps you knowing what notebooks to get first 6. Move as quick as possible in floor 3, Baldi is FAST, but he pauses for every notebook, also don't waste items for unnecessary reasons, since stuff like the bsoda and zesty bar are important for later on 7. The fog event limits the visibility of other characters, and the party event will have a good item, but Baldi will also go to it Hope this helps!

the lockers are just cruel when you hide in one, they continuously make a noise and baldi hears it, so even when he gets distracted when you're hiding, he will still make a beeline for the locker idk if that's intentional or not (it feels like a bug), so either use a wd no-squee every time you enter one or pray for a locker buff

TIPS: Turn on captions in the options menu so you can see where sound comes from Baldi can't hurt you when his ruler breaks If there is BSODA, Apple, Portal Poster or Grappling hook, then buy it in the shop. They are the best items. If there are no good items in the shop, buy the map. It fills your map so you don't have to fill it up on your own. The library mutes all sound. Sounds outside the library will be muted when inside. There is a new sound system. The sounds wrap around walls and rooms. When captions are turned on, you can see this effect easier. CHALK ERASER. The chalk eraser can hide you in classrooms. NOT hallways. Baldi's hitbox is big enough to catch you if you are on the same tile as him. You can use WD-NoSquee to mute the lockers so it is not a death trap. idk if you know this already, but you can lose Playtime by going around a corner if she sees you. You can move when you jump while jumproping. If playtime loses sight of you, the game stops. When you walk away from Dr. Reflex, he walks to his room and grabs his hammer. The room with the "H" on it is Dr. Reflexes room. During the Gravity Chaos Event (when everything flips upside down) the shapes flip you, and when a character is upside down and you aren't, the character can't interact with you. A patch released (0.4.1) idk what bugs it fixed but it may have fixed some bugsyou encountered.

The buzzing sounds of arcade games and the flickering glow of pixelated screens provided a temporary escape, but the looming call from his father, Eiji, shattered the illusion of carefree existence. Eiji's somber voice crackled through the phone, urging Ryan to return to Ichinose, his late mother's hometown. The urgency in his father's tone hinted at a dire situation - the health of his estranged maternal grandmother, Kinu Miyama, had taken a sudden downturn. As Ryan stepped off the train in Ichinose, the air carried a heavy weight of nostalgia and unspoken sorrow. The quaint town, draped in cherry blossoms, seemed to whisper secrets of the past. Guided by the cryptic call of duty, Ryan found himself at the Miyama residence. As Ryan gazed in horror, a monstrous silhouette emerged from the earth itself - the silkworm, now an abomination of colossal proportions, rose before him. Its grotesque form, 20 meters tall, cast a looming shadow over the once-sacred grounds. In a heart-stopping moment, the creature's monstrous eyes fixated on Ryan, its hunger for revenge evident. Without hesitation, the colossal silkworm lunged towards him, the very earth trembling with each thunderous step. Panic surged through Ryan as he sprinted, desperately seeking escape from the relentless pursuit. The ground quivered beneath him as the silkworm's gaping maw descended, threatening to consume him whole. In a desperate bid for survival, Ryan plunged his spear into the creature's monstrous form, unleashing a torrent of thick, viscous fluid. The world seemed to slow as he fought against the suffocating embrace of the silkworm's digestive tract. The battle within the belly of the beast was a harrowing struggle against the pulsating walls closing in on him. Darkness enveloped him, the acidic stench of the creature's innards assaulting his senses. Summoning every ounce of strength, Ryan thrust his spear deeper into the beast's brain, a final act of defiance. The creature convulsed, its monstrous form spasming in agony. As the world around him seemed to collapse, the silkworm spat him out onto the blood-soaked ground. Breathless and battered, Ryan lay on the courtyard as the colossal creature, wounded and defeated, sank back into the earth. The malevolent tyranny of the silkworm, now silenced, descended into the underworld below. The moon cast its gentle glow upon the scene, the world finally free from the malicious grip that had plagued it for centuries. As the specter of the silkworm vanished into the abyss, Ryan's exhausted body lay amidst the ruins, the weight of the ordeal etched into his very being. With the night's silence broken only by the distant echoes of victory, Ryan's journey came to an end, leaving the world liberated from the shackles of an ancient malevolence. The reason baldi is staying in front of the locker you are hiding is because they make sound whenever you enter inside, so Baldi will inevitably come to that location. To avoir him you must take the WD-NoSquee ans use it on the locker (which's door sounds kinda rusty) and it will no longer make a sound and Baldi will ignore the lockers. That's how you do it! ;)

The white floating head guy that you experienced was called “Chalk Man” (I think). Chalk man will be on any blackboard in some classrooms. Use the dirty blackboard eraser on him, he will be erased. If too late, he will spin around and your and you can’t open the door when he is spinning. Now, Dr Reflex. The doctor. He will sometimes go to you and you have to click on the green thing with the circle when he shows it. If you run away from him, he will get mad and squish you.

Characters u should know: Chalk: Make sure to check the chalkboards to see if he's there, and don't stay in the room for too long else he will trap you. You can erase him with the chalkboard erasers The Test: In the wooden-like area (don't know what it's called) there is this thing that looks a little like Baldi, but his main color is black. If you look away, he will go full-on stealth on you. Do NOT make any collision with him, as he will turn off the lights making your visibility limited.

Chalkes is the guy you keep seeing flying around the classroom, if you stay inside a classroom for more than 6 seconds, he appears and traps you inside. You can get rid of him before he flies with the Dirty Chalk Eraser The Dirty Chalk Eraser acts like fog for baldi, he can't see through it.

Rian, the "baldi needs a new ruler" event is a life saver. He cant kill you while he doesnt have a ruler, he just got his ruler back in time, thats why u died.

Just in case you didn't know, The Principals Whistle lures The Principal Of The Thing towards you. This is used for when the bully is near, or if your near Baldi and need to get sent to somewhere else (aka: running while using the whistle to get sent to detention, i recommend using it while running if you have Baldi's Least Favorite Tape!) Let's address the elephant in the room, yes this is taking a long time. But Micah (the actual name of the developer) is still hard at work. I think too many people have the wrong idea of what's going on. Making a game is hard, making it by yourself is harder, and making it be a good experience is the hardest thing of all. Obviously, there are some people who take advantage of that fact (We know it's Yandere Dev, we know he's a creep and a piece of shit, let's not dwell), but with the release of Bendy And The Dark Revival, I think we, as the audience need to remind ourselves that making a game all by yourself is a HUGE task. Not every developer is going to be as fast as Scott Cawthon, and that standard is honestly pretty unrealistic. If it's your first attempt, it's going to take a lot of effort, love, and luck to make something as big as Baldi, or Bendy, or Freddy. Please be patient, Micah IS still hard at work! Look him up and check in on the game's progress! Side note: Thank you Ryan for not dropping this game, it's still great to see people supporting this game years later.

Tips: Holding the tab key in gives you a quick map You can use the grappling hook in a tree with an apple on the tree to get the apple. Also, if you use a WD NoSquee on a locker, you can hide in there without Baldi knowing There is also a character that you might not have seen called “The Test”

The game only seems so wildly chaotic and difficult because you're misinterpreting almost everything. Baldi can hear you get in the lockers because it requires you open a door, and he hears every door you open. You can be nullified with WD No Squee. However him not hearing it won't matter if he can see you. Also that math machine strat is fire.

About Dr Reflex, the "H" room is his room. (H for Hospital, although a + would be more obvious) And if you don't do his reflex test then he will squish you. (It only makes him mad if you run away during the test. If you run away before he pulls the quick time event out, then your fine.)

the new student isn't actually an student. it's a doctor that probably wants to see how fast you can interact. at least it makes us learn what to do before thinking. i pretty much like dr reflex but hes kinda scary. just imagine... hi chasing you. then you hide. but he walks pass 3 times.. and your scared for life. dr reflex is cool tbh i think he should get better ai tho since he basically has the ai of baldi but if he kinda was changed a bit edit: you just changed student with character now. wow.

The reason why you couldn't hear baldi's ruler at the beginning is that mystman12 updated how sound works in the game, so instead of sound being transmitted through walls. It instead wraps around walls to get to you. If the generated sound manages to get to you, you hear the noise. If not then you cant hear it. You were probably in a space where the sound was impossible to travel to you (Enclosed room or area). (I could be wrong but im just theorizing after the 0.4v update)

It would be cool to see you try this again. Once you learn all the items and characters, it's actually quite a lot more fair than older versions (except the sound change I hate it so much). Explorer mode is great for practice because it works exactly like hide and seek but it turns off Baldi, allowing you to test things out without him getting in the way. I will explain some of the items that are a bit more vague than others here just for the sake of it: The faculty nametag is completely busted for the finale, as it basically disables most characters (Most notably the principal). Even outside of the finale, it's just generally a good item. The Big Ol' Boots allow you to ignore Gotta Sweep and 1st Prize (As well as a couple others). The teleporter, while extremely rare, is a potential method of escape if all else fails. It simply takes the player to a random place on the map. This can cause your death however so be careful. The Whistle calls the principal over to your location. It's helpful if getting in detention could end up being useful but it's also helpful for getting rid of the bully. WD No Squee is something I'm sure you're familiar with. However it can also be used on a locker to hide from Baldi (The reason it doesn't work on him normally is because opening the locker counts as a sound Baldi can hear). The Alarm Clock can be used as a distraction to get Baldi into a position. I think that's all of them. Great video as always.
