Praying is not a knee thing , it's every where thing. I pray working in my yard, doing dishes , making a meal , cleaning house, thinking about the lord every where. My most favorite time is at the end of the day sitting in my rocking chair just me and the lord quietly listening. But thank you , prayer is so important and not to be taken lightly.

I've found it difficult to concentrate, between the flesh and the enemy the mind flows away, but I've discovered that when you speak aloud (not loud or yelling) it is easier to concentrate. When you ask GOD to help you while you pray aloud, it'll happen!

Left me first say that I really enjoy this channel and I’m a subscriber. This devotional seems a bit ridged. There are numerous scriptures that tell use that God WANTS us to take our concerns and burdens to Him in prayer. To do this without thinking about “ourselves” is impossible. Also, Satan’s goal is to keep us from praying. He gives us some many excuses and reasons not to. Distracting us during prayer is hardly the choice of the individual. Yes, we should take prayer to God in a very humble and respectful way but we are of the flesh and therefore imperfect. God understands this and freely offers His grace. If you’re distracted during prayer, ask God to align your thoughts and KEEP PRAYING!!! God bless.

In my country an African girl, forgot her country but name was Linda came to study medicine and at church in prayer time she prayed 4 hours not stop and we prayed with her. After she became a doctor she moved to France professing medicine, but after short period of time she was killed because instead prescribing medicines to patients she prayed over them and got healed every single patient. This thing didn’t liked to medical authorities and they programmed her death. This was happening in early’80’s

I am not sure how to take this devotion. I completely understand that prayer should be taken seriously, very seriously. However, after hearing this devotion, it makes me not want to pray. Which is better? Exercise at a gym when you don’t want to and your heart is not in it? OR… not going to the gym and ignoring exercise because your heart is not in it? Who benefits more? Isn’t prayer the same? I would rather prayer and have distractions than failing to pray at all. I believe God looks at the heart when we pray. Yes, we do get distracted. However, the more we pray (the more we exercise) we strengthen discipline. I believe if you struggle with prayer don’t stop. Keep going. Eventually prayer will become naturally to you. Same as going to the gym. God bless you all, love in Christ.

Excellent meditation on prayer. This video needs a warning, however, ''"Contemplation on what perfect prayer looks like"". I feel some viewers might be discouraged by the challenge of attaining this kind of prayer. The bible often uses the Greek term ''hamartia'', to miss the mark, as in archery, to describe the attempts of people who fall short of some goal of the faith. It is also entirely true that these same people can never be expected to hit the mark if they do not know for sure what they are aiming at. This video presents an excellent vision of what powerful prayer should look like. It gives something to aim for. I believe that all of us are distracted at times, even the best of us. That should not keep us from being encouraged to press on towards the goal for which we have been called heavenward in Christ Jesus. I think the better we get at identifying distractions and discarding them, the more effective we shall be in prayer. I often pray that God will teach me how to pray and prevent me from being distracted or selfish. I would argue that distractions in prayer are like evil desires. Everyone will have them, but we must learn to master them (with Christs help of course). Do not be alarmed at the existence of distractions; we must learn to rely on the power of Christ to teach us how to overcome them. That is one of the truest signs of a healthy work of sanctification: Not the absence of distractions, but the ever increasing dependence on God to overcome them. I hope God blesses all of you with his presence in increasing measure and impresses upon you the necessity of prayer for the believer in Christ.

Prayer is a very complex issue. Suffering and pain is part of our existence. We cannot “pray it away.” Same with death. We are programmed to fear death. But there is a huge amount of evidence that death is only a transition experience. We transfer ourselves almost every day, to and from many places. The other issue is whether a person who has had many gifts should pray FOR THEMSELVES. I almost never pray for myself. I have had FAR TOO MANY blessings! It would be obscene for me to pray for myself. But I can and do pray for others. Sanjosemike (no longer in CA)

There are days when it is hard for me to focus for longer times. Then, I broke my prayer down in a number of shorter prayers over the duration of the day. The same applies when I wait on the Lord (prayer of listening). When I reflect on the word (meditating on the word), my focus normally remains fixed. So, you must trick the old nature and bring it in subjection to your spirit.

I like this channel very much but on this subject of prayer in my mind there is no such thing as God not listening to a believers cry regardless of where he is. Jesus Himself prayed for Himself’ ‘Father, if You are willing take this cup from ME; yet not MY will but Yours be done” Luke 22:42-44. Yes Gods will be done, non the less the cry was there. Going to sleep at night in prayer with God being one’s last thoughts surely is better than sleeping with the world. There is room for both, subconscious pray is better than no prayer. I can personally attest to the experiential fact that God will do SOME things you ask. Also, lots of the biblical hero’s experienced God acting on things they asked. One of many examples would be, the Israelites were complaining about food and water, so Moses petitioned for them and got them what they wanted. AND one last point, Jesus straight up said “ask and you shall receive”. He said it like 5 other ways too. “Anything for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received it and it will be granted to you”; etc

This all comes from a man who denies the messiah Jesus Christ and is still trying to live under a Law in the Old Testament. Picking and choosing which scripture best suits his prophetic interpretations.I find it ironic that this "Rabbi" is schooling anyone.
