You are 💯 right about contacting cfmoto . They will not talk to customers . I had a 2023 overland , the moment I got home , check engine light comes on. Go back to dealer , they said it was “O2” sensor . No big deal, but it took 3 months to get the part . Got it back , took it for a ride , suddenly , alarm went off and engine heat bars maxed out . Shut the machine down for a minute , turn it back on and it was normal . Figured it was a fluke …. Took it for another ride about 2 weeks later , drove it for about 2 hours , then same thing , except this time coolant boiled out. Took it back to the dealer. I went through I year long process of swapping ECM (twice) , changing wiring harness , fuel pump and it got to the point cfmoto warranty was making my dealer just throw parts at it. Still could not keep it running . Finally !! After me respectfully raising hell with my dealer . They ended up giving me a 2024 gen3 in July of 2024 , yesterday , I was there to have a recall service done and purchased a 2025 xmr 700 . They told me they STILL had my overland in the shop not running ! Cfmoto is still trying to make them fix it !! That’s insane !

I would talk to a lawyer and have them draft a letter to the original dealer. I don't think it is unreasonable to have your money refunded at this point. You should also get some compensation for your travel time. I have had good luck with Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki products over the years. You will pay more for those brands but they stand behind their products, they hold their value and parts are easy to find, even after 15+ years.

Happy for you that you've had good luck with other company products. I can honestly say don't do business with Polaris, they don't stand behind their products.

@@bruceposekany9320 I dragged many Polaris, Arctic Cat and BRP machines back to camp during hunting season. They had too much power for the axles and diffs, weak frames and poor electrical wiring and connectors/switches. Poor fit and finish in general. The dealers were swamped with warranty work and they took months to get fixed properly. They blamed my buddies for driving in the mud lol. Some of those dealers had to switch brands to save their reputations or they would have went out of business. Never saw a CF-Moto in the woods yet. I think Suzuki makes good stuff, just don't see a lot of them in my area.

I have a 2020 Uforce 1000 xl. It was in the shop 3 times for coolant leaks under warranty for over month total. It will also use over a quart of oil in 200 miles. Two weeks after get it back and 3 days out of warranty internal water pump seal started leaking coolant into the oil. I have since fixed the issue myself. My prior UTV was a Yamaha Viking that was trouble free for over 7500 miles. These run good and have lots of bells and whistles for the price but longevity I'm certain isn't up to the major brands. Warranty should be 5 years like Canada or at least be extended for the time it sets in the shop. Time not in your possession shouldn't count. Looks like they can't fix it so trying to run you out of warranty.

My zforce was a bit notchey about going into gear, it was built with a shift detent in the shifter as well as another one on transmission and they didn’t always mesh! I deleted the detent in the shifter and that solved my VERY SMALL shifting issue! Id learned to feel when it went into gear, id hold the thumb button on the shifter and go slightly past low which allowed the transmission to fully engage, then place floor shifter in low and NO PROBLEM!!! Another example of buying cheap. I fix these for a living. CF has always been shinny Chinese junk. They appear to be getting better with now things. I totally understand your anger however there is a chance of buying a lemon from every manufacturer. It’s also obvious that you didn’t do your homework when choosing the dealership. This is literally one of the most important aspects when purchasing an expensive and complex piece of equipment and many people just don’t understand this. Now you’re getting your machine repaired by a dealer that you didn’t purchase from. Naturally their priority is to service their customers first. I will be purchasing the Zforce 950 Sport 4 seater this spring and I have definitely done my dealer selection homework. The cheapest dealer has a terrible reputation because they lack a reputable head technician, so they are off my list. In addition, you don’t sound like a mechanical person. Case in point you mention leaking coolant yet you didn’t specify location of the leak. Why? I thought of all the possibilities where the leak could come from; rad, hoses, head, water pump housing, etc. I really don’t recommend any non mechanical person purchasing such a complex machine that we take to remote areas without some level of mechanical aptitude. Thanks for sharing your story and I hope others can learn from it.👍

@@scout3058 laugh as you will however China is going to have the last laugh. They actually like individuals like yourself who thinks that their better than them. It’s their strength and your country’s biggest weakness. Western nations thought they were so smart by taking advantage of the cheap labour to provide great returns to their shareholders. Meanwhile the Chinese studied and learned how to replicate the very best the west had to offer. Case in point is Germany, a powerhouse of manufacturing and engineering. They provided the machines that make the products the entire planet purchases from China and they did it very well. Now they are basically in the second year of a recession largely because the Chinese now make these highly complex machines and systems and they no longer need Germany. Same for Volkswagen and German luxury cars or American Buicks, they don’t want these vehicles anymore because they produce their own vehicles better and cheaper. CF Moto at present makes recreational vehicles that are as good as any other manufacturer in today’s market.
