Have you considered checking the torque of all coilover bolts? The 2 on the lower knuckle, the 3 top hat bolts, and even the centre bolt on the top of the coilover can arrive loose sometimes. This fixed the clunking issue on my mate's coilovers

Hey mate. Yeah I have, re-torqued all the coilover bolts. Seem to have solved the clunking with coilovers. Now i can just hear the new rear sway bar and end links working and all.. not sure thats supposed to happen

@@MrDuongTV1 ohh awesome! With the sway bars and endlinks they should be torqued with the car on the ground or on alignment ramps, otherwise they can have a lot of preload/binding

It did fix it up a little bit but I still hear the sway bars and links moving!! I do have an inspection booked later this week with DNA Autosport, so 🤞

Pillowball mounts can clunk. It's just in its nature because of the design. Could also be the top nut not tight enough

Thanks mate, for watching and your comment. I've given it a look, everything is tight. It could be the pillow ball mounts, however, not all the coilovers clunk, and not at the same time. Its intermittent.

Pretty good mate! Albeit a bit noisy bcos more solid bits and very very stiff. I drive around with dampeners on 4 and 1, front and back respectively. Total of 12 levels. Took it out on track recently, car felt really really good. Video on that coming too 🙂

I recently put some coilovers in mine but it's been ok so far. Sounds like you got the clunking sorted out though which is good. I've got the Whiteline rear swaybar but with the standard end links so haven't had any noises. What alignment specs did you go with?

Gday mate. Yeah... at the front its the end links from the whiteline kit, they're honestly not that great. At the rear still haven't figured it out exactly, but I'm thinking its a combination of the STI boot and wing (i didnt swap our the tension bars) and also the sliding style of brake caliper. I had a few stores check it out.

​​@@MrDuongTV1 I would check with silvers to see if you have dialed enough preload into the springs . Additionally , you won't get clunks from the brakes . But sway bar links can clunk big time .

@MrKrueger88 yup not the brakes, just a reputable shop telling me a certain thing to make themselves seem smarter than they really are. Turns out Silvers suspension has a very large warranty bin... quite a common problem with silvers..

Hey mate did you end up figuring out what the clunking was from? I ordered Silvers Neomax coils for my BRZ and have had nothing but clunking at all four wheels. They even sent me out a second set and had the exact same issue... Pro Speed are super difficult to deal with and i'm not having any luck with getting a refund :(

Hi mate! unfortunately no, I wasn't able to solve the clunking problem... it was very hard for me to get a refund or anything from PSR too despite having them as a sponsor. I did get a replacement shock for the front, I understand when you say "difficult to deal with" but from my experience, they were difficult to deal with bcos it took forever for replacement parts to arrive at their shop. Every other time I have to deal with PSR (as a regular customer) they've been great and very helpful. Sadly, I didn't find out that Silver's as a brand has a massive warranty bin for their products.. So PSR probably get a lot of crappy calls and emails from customers with the same issue. To answer your question about where the clunking was coming from, yes and no. Yes, its come from the crappy coilovers, and no bcos I don't know why these coilovers are clunking... I had the coilovers checked out by 3 different shops, all very reputable. 2 of which were able to describe the problems I had before I had even told them, and told me to toss it in the bin for a set of MCA coilovers. The third shop also sell a tonne of the silver's suspension and was trying to convince me that it was my sliding calipers that were clunking and moving around... which is a load of crap. I've since partnered up with MCA and will be discussing my problems with the silvers in an upcoming video! Great to see another aussie automotive content creator :)
