I'm not implying dwelling in past tense is a good idea, I'm saying instead of always trying to unlock a new aspect to life with hazed vision, as examples can be found in modern youth humor, with most of it being absolute static wisps of blind stumbling, we should study the recent past to better understand what grand mistakes we have made to further improve the likely hood of not making them again. The biggest one being the over consumption of video nonsense. 8 hour compilations on youtube of meditation music, cocomelon compilations, trash horror videogames spammed out for cheap gross profit. There is something grandly unhealthy to constantly consuming media of that sort. or just slop content. later in the years, when we realize this to a federal level, it will be important to look back and wonder why the hell we didn't put an end to it sooner. (not to mention that BOTB has somewhat strayed away from being mainly chiptune. i've heard somebody play GUITAR on there) As stated on the site, 'All MIDIs must be 1MB or less in size and must utilize only the sounds of the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth. Otherwise, there are no extraneous restrictions to the format, which means you're free to create whatever with the patches provided by the GS Wavetable so long as it fits within the file size limit.' ..meaning if this was uploaded RIGHT NOW to BOTB as-is, it'd be accepted.
