It can be hard not to ask leading questions but I can see how they can be dangerous like you say. Thanks so much for this advice!!

I agree that the language should not be jargon. It should be kept simple so that we are all on the same page.

Hello Dr, Thankyou for the Video.. I had 2 quick questions Is studying for osce's okay if your alone and using flash cards to practice? Secondly when the station says e.g an x year old presenting y and z take A FOCUSED history- should we just dive in to expounding on the symptoms given or we start by introduction, asking the patient the presenting complaint and duration then dive into the history of presenting illness? Thankyou very much!

Hello! Thanks for watching and glad you found the video useful! 1. If you're alone I would always recommend getting up and acting out the examination. Actually getting up and pretending someone is there and going through the motions is much better and more effective than sitting down reading. 2. Focused means , focused questions on the system. So go through the normal procedure e.g.introduce yourself etc and ask questions specific to what they are presenting with. For example, if a 55 year old woman presents with abdominal pain and bloating (you think they might be eluding to ovarian pathology) then your questions should be focused more around that. Hope that make sense! Any more questions please let me know! All the best with your studies!
