For some reason, Android's color inversion mode is kind of broken. On iOS, it actually inverts ALL colors. But, Android only inverts SOME colors, black and white. I've tried it myself with my Galaxy phone. I'm not sure what Android version your phone runs (which I assume is a Motorola), but as far as I know, Google hasn't fixed this issue yet.
