Welcome to The Corridor, the game where you see how many different ways you can hallucinate the same room and button before your brain finally crashes, and you realize you never left where you started, and press the button for the first time. Because that is what the game is, the game is only a corridor and a button, whatever else you see is all in your head.

idk if i'm reading too deep into this but damn, the fable about the fox and the grape with the dev making an allusion about himself not wanting you to play, for fear of failing at making a good game, that was so cool
@thewildmonarch Жыл бұрын
As an artist and writer, the message of the game really hit close to home for me. Many creatives like myself greatly desire to share our work and ideas with others, but are often under the crushing fear of people not liking it. The narrator of the game claiming he didn't want you to play anyway is the same sentiment many creatives have, stating "Well, it's fine, no one would understand it anyways, only I can." In reality, though, one of the things these people really want is acceptance. And when, eventually, they do start sharing it, the reception is often good anyways, or at least, not as negative as we make it out to be in our heads. I love the intermission of the Fox and the Grapes story because it exudes exactly that: giving up and claiming it's rotten and not for us before we even reach it. Thank you for sharing this game with your audience!

This makes me remember a game from Roblox wich is about some levels and pushing buttons with blocks and at the end you break out of the map, then the voice that talks to you deletes the win when you get to it, then tells you there's nothing left to do, if you press "esc" to try and exit, the voice tells you not to, and that if you do then please remember him. That made me want to cry and to stay in the game forever.

9:38 this is how that closing part works basically. form.load() { file start_file; start_file.open() x = start_file.read().toInt; //toInt convert text to number } if (button.click) { x++ start_file.Rewrite(x.toString); //toString convert number to text start_file.Close() this.Close() } and rest is just some standard programming.... you change x you change what is loaded when starting the game. its just like 20 lines XDD compared to thousands/milions in some complex games

We need more existential comedy games. What a beautiful experience. Made even better by Smii7y's psychopathic tendencies
