I've grown up with sleep paralysis as well as schizophrenia (i see shadow people and they talk to me and stuff), but tbh it's not really that scary for me. I legitimately just make friends with the shadow people and the sleep paralysis demons. I even named them. One of my sleep paralysis demons (i have 3) looks just like me but in black and white and she's really creepy. Tbh she's the creepiest out of all of them. Well i named her Lillianne cause IDK i thought the name suited her. What's really weird though is that my brother also has schizophrenia and he sees Lillianne too, always has. He sees her a lot and he can describe her down to the last detail, it's really freaky. But yeah. Most people are terrified - even traumatized - by their sleep paralysis demons, I'm just a weirdo for being more annoyed than scared by them at this point.

I actually had a panic attack once or a mental breakdown. I am deathly afraid of turantulas, which is a big, hairy spider, even thought they aren’t aggressive, they just look very scary.. I was on a field trip to a zoo, it was normal at first, though, as the class and I went to the Bug Center, and the first thing I see is a turantula on the glass cage. Once I seen the turantula, I fell to the ground, screaming and crying, desperately trying to go away from that specific bug, it was worse when my class tried telling me that turantulas aren’t that scary. It still haunts me to this day..
