Do Not Waste Money on Jack Holmes: Master of Puppets. It's an overpriced asset flip. Literally no part of it is original.

Needless to say, I am sorry. I will do better in the future, and I already have plans on how I can make up this week. Keep an eye out for some highly requested pirate themed rail shooters in the near future. Thank you for your patience and continued understanding.

I've seen this game floating around on the Playstation store. I though it looked off and not in a good way. I was about to look into it and then you posted about it anyway, so it worked out! I hope things are going well for you and hope to see you actually have fun in the next video.

I'm stuck on how in the painting room he has several already framed paintings on the easels rather than unframed canvases.

This might sound harsh but you need to know what your fans want. It's okay if you want to branch out, but too much responsibilities tend to make you and me make irrational decisions, or god forbid, warp our worldview. Take as much time you want to create, we don't mind waiting.

I don't entirely understand what you are saying. What do you mean by "what my fans want"? Is there something in particular that you want me to cover? What do you mean by branching out? I play horror games of all lengths on a regular basis. If I sound defensive that isn't my intent. I genuinely need to know exactly what you are talking about, considering I've always been a variety channel.

Hi BEXX, I'm sorry you didn't like the game. As a first time developer I have not been able to model my own assets, I have used third party ones but I made an effort to make original sceneries, but it seems that it was not enough either. All beginnings are difficult. Cheer up with the channel, I see that you are also having a hard time getting ahead!

As someone with minor game dev experience (as a creature designer and texture artist), I understand how difficult it can be to create a video game, especially as a solo developer. I honestly wouldn’t have said anything if your game wasn’t $15. By giving your game a price tag, let alone the price of an AA or retro game, you are putting yourself out there for judgement by the consumers. As a dev I understand where you are coming from, but as a consumer it is my moral obligation to inform my fellow consumers of my negative experience with the game so they can make an informed decision. That in mind, I think you have genuine potential as a game developer and a LOT of it is still untapped. You have a good start here, but I think you still need to refine your craft before putting a price tag on it. I would recommend you start by looking at a game called Northern Journey. I mentioned it multiple times in the video. It is an FPS made by a single dev, and it is the best game I’ve played in years. While the visuals of that game are rough and sometimes even ugly, the game is 100% original, so those rough visuals become a curiosity that pulls you in. Then it hooks you with solid and incredibly fun FPS gameplay. It was relatively unknown up until channels much larger than mine picked it up and showed it to their audience. Play it, take notes, and use that to make your own game. Pick up Blender for free from either their website or the Steam store. It has everything you need to model, texture, and animate original characters. Play around with it. Watch some tutorials. Design new and creative enemies that are 100% yours. THEN start making your own game. Your own creativity and refined skill will bring in channels much bigger than mine, and everyone will be excited to see what you make next. I actually have more game development experience than you would think, so feel free to ask me any questions. As for myself, I’m sorry if I sounded sad or depressed in the video. I was tired at the time and the video was more of a status update than a proper Let’s Play. You’ll find that I’m much happier in my other videos. It should be noted that not only is this channel growing steadily, but this is the smallest of my three KZbin channels. In the video I mentioned that I was considering your game for my review channel, but I feel that would be unfairly negative. I had reviewed Northern Journey before many of the larger channels could, so I was hoping for another undiscovered gem. I still hope to see a good game from you in the future that I can showcase to more people on my review channel, but this isn’t it. I still want you to keep at it and get better at making games. I’m genuinely excited to see what you can create when you aren’t held back by pre-made assets.

@@BexxPlays In understand. But I don't think 15 dollars is expensive for a game with survival mechanics and a duration of about 4 hours when we have steam flooded with "walking simulators" at that price. Not everything is creature designer and texture artist, that the scenarios are not designed and created "by magic", nor the code of the game, Bexx. It has been two years of daily work. Also, Thanks you for your comments.

I've given you my thoughts and advice. You don't have to like what I say or take my advice, but it's there. Remember, the competition you should worry about isn't the worst in your category; it's the best.

Just as a bit of positive input: I got the game on disc for PS5, finished it today and loved my time with it. I really don't mind devs using/reusing a lot of assets because you could tell there was passion and love put into the project. I would take a Sinking City or Jack Holmes over a The Division or Forespoken any day. Please keep making games and improving, I'd love to see what you put out next :))
