I love the sound of your pump organ, felt like I was watching an old western movie. Looks like you can open your own local history museum, tons of fascinating items. Yes, i too watched till the end👍

Loved every minute, it’s funny how much similarity there is between small farmers and their history. I too milked a small herd of Jerseys and have interesting history and a much smaller collection of artifacts. Keep up the good work. I miss my little brown cows.

Now this was interesting. You two are so unique, yet so similar to most small farmers I know. Thanks for the glimpse into your lives. I must mention that I was gobsmacked to see the "Life on the Farm" game sticking out of a box upstairs. I thought we were just about the only ones that had it. We used to play it on dark, stormy nights in winter, but I always had a hard time surrendering my cows for slaughter when I drew that particular card. Anyway, I feel like you are neighbors, although you live at the bottom of the state, and I'm here near the top. Thanks for these videos. They keep me smiling.

I do enjoy listening to you talk and thank you for the tour. I had fun too and enjoyed it. I too have a room, meant to be a sewing/craft room, but it has become the repository of everything I couldn't figure out what to do with and I would bet is worse than you. I can hardly open the door. My dad had an old Victrola that had two speeds and a collection of old records stored in the bottom. His favorite songs were "I sent my wife to the thousand Isles today" and "Poor old Kaw-Liga". The Victrola had a funny kick to it as it unwound. it would make a big bumping noise that always started me. My nephew now has it. You seem to have a great variety of talents and I am beginning to understand how the various objects I've seen around came about. Again, always enjoy your offerings. Take Care.

I am fairly certain the only reason I can open the door to my project room is because it opens out rather than in :) Love the title of that first song! 😂

I regret not accepting an old church pipe organ to restore before the parents sold their home. It sat for years in a corner on the second floor of the granary on the family homestead farm up until auction, then, Dad stored it in his garage. That organ was at least 150 years old.
@KeithFinkFamilyFarm5 ай бұрын
wow! Very interesting. Do you know what happened to it? My dad has a beautifully restored pump organ in his home that he would love to move on to someone or someplace that sees its value. Someone was going to do some searching for him but has yet to find a place. Mom and Dad are in New England....you would think there is an old town hall or museum that would take it!
@commonsenserules79955 ай бұрын
@@KeithFinkFamilyFarm My sisters took care of the estate and I'm not sure what they did with the organ. The bellows had deteriorated from mice, heat, humidity, there were missing keys and some of the carved trim was broken. I had considered using a shop vac to force air through the pipes but that might have been excessive. I'm kicking myself for letting it go.

back in Switzerland we brought the Milk to the local Cheese dairy that made Emmental Cheese because it was raw milk cheese (not pasturized before it got made into cheese) the cows we not allowed to be fed silage, only hay, corn pellets made from chopped corn, grass pellets, some grain and minerals, and green feed just like ya guys do but we had a self loading wagon for that maybe Laura can see that loading wagon on my FB page. Awesome that ya guys collect those things, its a shame that folks threw it away after all those treasures last far longer then the modern stuff. When I saw the sign of the Goat dairy, what breed of dairy goats where kept? I used to have Dairy goats
