Hello, they are so cute. I have a question, I will be very appreciated If you can answer. I bought a 3-month old indian ringneck parrot 2 days ago, but it is very timid, shy. It runs away when I approach the cage. I tried to put my hand inside the cage, it kept screaming and running away. What should I do to get it used to me ?

Give it time. You first need to win its trust. Best if you clip its fligt feathers and keep the cage door open for a few days and let the bird out. Make sure you keep it in a secure room, away from any other pets. Try ti put some nut on a spoon and bring it close to the bird let it eat from it, eventually try feeding it from your hand. Don't rush in picking the bird on your hand. Never ever try to grab the bird. Eventually the bird will start eating from your hand and that's when you can try to pick it by just pushing the sides of your finger against it feet to make it come on your fingers (do not grab the bird). Sooner or later, the bird will start getting on your hand. It usually takes around 1-2 weeks unless the bird is wild or has been in an emotionally bad situation before.

@@FancyBirds360 thank yuou very much. So you suggest opening the cage and letting him out then feeding some nuts,seed, fruit. It's been 2 days since he came home. Should I do this right away or should I wait a while for him to get used to the cage and the environment? by the way This is a bird whose wings have been clipped a little, so it cannot fly well.

Shuru may aap kch time alag cages may rakho but sath sath rakho cages. Jb aap note karo k dono ki thori dosti hogyi ha, ek doosray k pas bethay hotay hain, then ikatha kr dena
