Yes, there is a romantic aspect, but it's also about someone needing protection from a stalker, and does not have the cliche happy romantic ending that rom-coms are known for. (Although admittedly My Best Friend's Wedding also doesn't have the traditional happy romantic ending either and I do consider that movie a rom-com)
