We had six in a three bedroom ranch. Toys were EVERYWHERE. When we cleaned we'd toss all we found into their toy box. If they liked a toy they could get it out. Her Royal Majesty Queen Xander had two toys she always knew where she'd left them. One was a crinkly ball and the other was a fish with catnip. If I asked her for either her gold ball or her fish head, she would bring it to me. Dang, I miss Xander. She wasn't yet ten when she boarded the Rainbow Bridge.

Just a tip. ALWAYS cut the handles of the bags they play with, especially if you are leaving them with them unattended. There's been lots of cases where cats have accidently strangled themselves to death getting their necks caught in them then twisting to try and get out.

Paste Eater yeah my partner is quite allergic to both dogs that shed and cats... so she lives on antihistamines and we have 3 dogs and 2 cats, all but the youngest dog were her idea to get and 3 were actually birthday presents that she begged for. I don’t know if they make my allergy symptoms worse too because I have a condition where I react to almost everything, but I also would rather put up with the symptoms than live without animals. I feel so sorry for people who are too severely allergic to be able to make that choice because animals are like 90% of what maintains my mental health!

While celery and kiwi fruit may have a smell to then that attracts cats similar to catnip, none of the 3 are actually in the same family. Catnip is in the family Lamiaceae, celery is in the family Apiaceae, and kiwi is in the family Actinidiaceae. Lamiaceae is the mint family, which is easily identified if you feel the stem of the plant, which feel like a square rather than being rounded like most plant stems.
