Write regularly-like every day. Write a lot so you get your first draft done, I wish you well. Few people regret writing a memoir.

I started writing a memoir in 1995 for a children’s literature class I was taking in college. It was my final project. I wrote 18 pages. My instructor and classroom loved and I was told I had a voice. I did not work on it at all for four years. In 1999, I was working with high school students for the summer and I expanded on the project to 27 pages and did some editing as well. The students loved it. In 2023, I began working on in hope of finally completing it. It’s now like 80 pages, but lately I’ve been watching a few of these informative memoir videos by helpful writers and editors, and now I am second guessing myself. Smh

Dear Jose, Since you are viewing memoir-writing videos, I presume you are now ready to progress on your memoir. Schedule regular (even daily) writing. Thank you for the video. I am 66 years old and I have a burning desire to complete my Memoir. Much of what you mentioned about the character, action, and setting, I have incorporated into my writing. I am just struggling to finish the ending. Some days I flat out sabotage myself where I avoid writing at all. Any suggestions for someone who is almost finished but has plateaued and cannot seem to bring it to an end? Signed Weary Uneek!
