This little combination of Machine and Phoebe is one of the more complete buck kids we’ve had on the farm. Now we have to decide if he’s a wether or kept to grown out.

I am so sorry to hear about Peaches!! Her behavior the days before sounds as if she knew something was up. Animals do have a sixth sense in my opinion. No matter the cause it's a terrible loss for your farm and breeding program. On a positive note, her kids look healthy and content! Thanks for sharing and stay safe!!

Thanks Cindy, I had shot a clip the night before and I literally said we had interest in her kids and we said her daughter will stay here and peaches would die on this farm as she had such great maternal instincts and traits.

What feed are you giving them? They look built!

Central plains Milling out of Columbus, NE. We started with their goat 365 feed and then we worked with them to slightly alter it to what we call goat 365 creep. It’s not all that different but a touch higher in fat. We ended up feeding it to the whole heard all year long the last 2-3 years. Never have to feed over 2# at milking with kids to maintain or put condition on. Once conditioned after weaning maybe .5# per day. I still need to do a feed video.

Sorry to hear about Peaches. You are crazy if you cut the schnockers off that buckling! Grab his genetics before you sell him. Nice clean kidding shed btw.

Thanks. I need to grab machine and phoebes papers and post his genetics. Machine is a combination between our last buck Brett and Rebar (Shayna said) seen here in the shed. Honestly some years run together and I forget who had who until I pull the binder of registrations out.

@@luckymboergoats4600 I also have to get the pedigrees out now because it is no longer just stored in my head. Too many generations. (and we also don't have a Shayna to help us out. 😉) I saw what I think is a photo of Rebar on your website when she was just a little doeling. Who knew she was going to grow up to be the big boss at your farm? My mom was watching your channel with us and she got all choked up hearing you talk about Peaches. People who's goats are part of their families know how awesome these animals are and how much it hurts to lose them.
