In this video, I show you a fun and effective way to warm up every morning which will also get you faster at doing your scales. I have developed my 'Guitar Player's Morning Workout' over several years and feel it is one of the best ways to start your day. You will see noticeable progress in your scales in less than one week. LEt me know how it works for you! Thanks for watching!
If you want to take an even deeper dive into this song then try my lessons on The Guitar Player's Morning Workout at the Guitar College Library. I walk you through everything step-by-step, very slow and explain things more in-depth than here on KZbin. Most of my lessons there are 30 to 45 minutes as compared to just a few minutes long here on KZbin!
Check out my lesson on The Guitar Player's Morning Workout here: guitarcollegelibrary.com/prog...
Also, I have hundreds of other lessons for guitar players who like Jazz, Blues, Bebop, and Fingerstyle guitar arrangements. There are also a lot of lessons on guitar technique and guitar scales along with exercises meant to build your chops. Check them all out here: guitarcollegelibrary.com/
Streaming and download formats for both subscription and individual lessons are available.
🎸If you want to learn how to play jazz guitar solos and become a great jazz improviser then check out my Online Course Jazz Guitar Improv: jazz-guitar-improv.teachable....

I have and use this 'Guitar Players Morning Workout' set. I noticed a big improvement with my finger coordination, dexterity and timing in just days. Playing through the cycle of 4ths in all keys keeps it from becoming monotonous and boring. Highly recommended!

I think I’ve seen the promo videos ads your speaking about. I just shake my head and think “man, is the money that important to you instead of teaching the right way to learn, play, and understand the instrument.” Great job, Rich...thanks for what you do.

I have seen that nonsense about not doing scales a lot of places. It is encouraging to hear about the value of doing them from a real pro. Thanks for pointing that out, Rich, I actually like doing scales and will not longer feel I am wasting my time by doing them. I think it would be valuable to swing the notes also.

Hey greenman70, don't ever stop playing your scales. And the fact is... there are so many scales and ways to switch up the way you practice them that should never get bored. Thank you very much for this comment and for watching my channel!

I learned the cycle of 4ths and to play the scales around the cycle, which I play daily. It's improved my fretboard knowledge and playing tremendously and I highly recommend it. Rich, do you have that piano backing track in .mp3, .wav I can download? I'd like to practice with it in time as you say. Thanks for your great videos. 😊

How ironic that the lesson is interrupted by an ad for a guy who say's 'Dude (!) stop trying to play guitar solos by playing scales'. There is such a lot of nonsense out there, whereas Rich is the real deal. Thanks Rich.
