Today, we show you how to make your vacuum rubber suction cups stick better and longer. It is cheap and pretty simple!
Note that for a suction mount to hold / stick longer also depends on a lot of other factors:
Quality / age / porosity of the suction cup
Cleanliness of the support
Ambient air humidity and temperature
Amount of initial pressure used to stick it (and create the "void")

There is a great way to prevent the suction cup from falling off that I learned a long time ago and have been using all my life. Use liquid glycerin. It can be bought at a regular pharmacy. It is usually used to soften the skin of the hands. Apply a small amount of glycerin to a clean and undamaged suction cup and attach it to a clean windshield. Do not be alarmed, at first, the suction cup will easily ride on the glass, but only at the beginning. That's it, your suction cup will hold securely for months, and maybe years, even at very high temperatures.

also i used water vs spit for glass , spit is still holding the suction cup on , its been both in cold weather AND hot direct sunlight

So, I have a tabletop boxing bag that mounts with a suction cup. 1st time I used it on my counter it was solid. Now edges curl up & it doesn't get a secure hold. Any1 have any tips?

Apply a bit of heat to soften the suction cup (be careful not to burn it), push it gently against a flat surface and it should bend back to its normal position
