I have a Motorola 11 which I adore but lately it's battery goes from 63% to shut down within the length of a music video but the phone operates normally while it's connected on the charger cord, I will try these two different settings as you said and I will try to follow the steps, I promise you all that I will come later back in here and tell you if I succeed or not, today is 4/21/2024 around 9:02am

Thank you!!!!!! I went through every one of my apps and was shocked how many had permission to run in the background.... I restricted every one of them that i don't use often. I can already see my battery not draining as fast from 6 hours ago. I have a suspicion I need to do this monthly. Especially the Samsung apps.

​@@smokybear6843 Well technically if he doesn't use the phone that often yes there will be an improvement of battery in terms of stand-by. This setting only improves active usage when browsing and streaming. Though it can draw on battery consumption when in stand-by because it checks for an active connection when wifi is turned on. If you turn off your wifi while in stand-by your battery life should improve.

Usually in Samsung you need to enable developers options. Go to your build number in your software information and tap it 7 times which will enable it. Tap back on your main system menu and it should show down near end of the system list. You should be able to find WiFi throttling way down the Developers list.

I can do this on my Samsung S10, which is an excellent device, but as soon as I get out of developer mode, the setting reverts to what it was previously. (I have read in several different tech articles that developer mode should not be left on all of the time.)

In settings, click about phone (it is place below the settings, just scroll down the settings) then click the version, there is a build number shows there, click it 7 times, until the notifications on your phone pop up that you have the developer option
