An 11am BPB opening was a strange experience that's for sure! Got some of your own tips to beat the queues at Blackpool Pleasure Beach? Some absolute solid advice here! The tip to run to the back of the park is probably the best. Crazy seeing avalanche walk on, it’s usually packed! Loving the content mate, one of, if not the best theme park channels at the moment. Can’t wait to get back to pleasure beach!

Thank you man, I was fed up of seeing everyone do the same 'look at this park I'm back for opening day, nothing has changed apart from some merch and a few flags' type of video. Trying to provide value which is hard with daily content but hopefully videos like this help in the long run. The Towers one certainly has! Avalanche is always a ride people tend to leave as they're more worried about going to a 'better' ride. That's fine by me, one of the busiest days on park opening week and it was empty haha

@@edz_gaming7915 They do. I really should have added a ‘when all else fails get a speedy pass’ but I’ve never had to do that with all the trips to BPB. Naturally it depends on group size / if you’re going as a family etc they can all affect your speed throughout the park.

Good video and tip video. It's basically choosing the good timeings for that ride. It seems that it tends to be selected coasters and the 1 or 2 rides that get the big quaues. I'm hoping to go this summer and try the rides for the first time. I secretly want icon to be big as I can create a good video out of it and if I go the main thing I'm expecting is the lack of rerides as I will want to get on most of them.

Well on the day we went as the day went on EVERY ride had a big queue until the last 2 hours then it started to filter out and get quieter except Grand National and ICON that both had a longer queue from start to finish but that was due to slower operations on ICON and the popularity of Grand National being by the entrance / exit so it's always everyones first / last ride of the day (usually).

ICON is scarily unpredictable this season already especially after being so reliably quick for queues in the past so it’s only that and Big One you need to worry about the rest should be a doddle

Thanks man! Yeah it was great, we were worried as when we got there the longest queue of the day (before the noodles queue) was to get in the park, that took SO long, it was rammed. So I was ever so glad when when we followed the tips and it worked aha getting the low throughput out the way first saved us a whole chunk of the day.

I went yesterday to BPB & it was well busy with huge queues! I've been here loads of times since the early 80s & the setup is all wrong (for BpB)! The Big one was closed (high winds), were jinxed as that's twice in a row now over 3 years we've missed out on that! This is why I miss the old feature of paying for single rides or book of tickets! BpB just can't handle the daily visitor traffic with its park size with an unlimited ride system! Don't get me wrong, on an off peak day, its superb but in school holidays you just want to be able to do every ride once & we couldn't! So now if we wanted to just ride the big one & leave the park, we have to pay full price! That's not the Blackpool pleasure beach I remember, & I'm not even gonna talk about speedy passes! lol

great video mate of my favourite park, this is my pleasure beach routine 1 streak, 2 avalanche, 3 rev, 4 steeple, 5 dipper then 4 dark rides at dinner time then tick off high throughput rides in early afternoon like flying machines and derby racer and river caves then when it quietens off later i do nash and always finish on the big one . on opening day i did every single ride baring ice blast grand prix and icon .

Ridiculous mate honestly... the two staff members didn't know what they were doing, a manager came to sort them out and give them a right telling off but it's not their fault they clearly weren't trained properly... I offered to cook my own, it only takes around 8 mins (if that) haha

I'm sure it'll get easier, it certainly did for me, some issues at the start with phone brightness and staff asking people to crank up your brightness but that drains battery and then there was actually scanning the things, thankfully the scanning got easier the more you did it but it's going to be a pain and longer throughput was already an issue with many staff members just letting people through the turnstiles without scanning with families digging in their mums bag to find their phones / codes etc. Wasn't great. I loved it last year, one scan going in then nothing for the rest of the day but I'm sure this way helps the park with data etc if albeit at the risk of slightly longer queues.

Didn’t know icon was running with less trains and had seatbelts! That doesn’t sound good to me, the operations used to be incredibly fast. Also, why would they be running less trains and why the heck does icon need seatbelts?!?

It was for opening day / day after but they've added a third train on now as throughput was ridiculous. Queues have been a big issue on ICON opening week but that's because Big One has been down for quite some time this week so everyone is going there by default. Once PMBO is operating constantly again I'm sure the queue will be dispersed a little better. The seatbelt issue is a strange one. I can't really comment on it as I've been told contrasting information from both the park and Mack themselves.

40 mins minimum last week.. for every ride including the ghost train lol we didn’t even manage to get on all the rides we wanted to go on. Scanning the QR codes was silly and made it longer. River caves was around 40 minute wait too I have never been there with it that busy before. I will go in term time next time lol 😂

The QR code scanning is ridiculous (when it works) hopefully these tips help you for next time. On the busiest day we've always managed a good selection of rides but when those crowds come in, there's just no stopping the queues at BPB especially. Other parks at least have that space for them to disperse more evenly.

We actually skipped steeplechase when going to Nick Land and it was walk-on but wanted to get Nick Streak out the way first as the queues get huge we came back and it was rammed. I’ve never been on red arrows you know. So naturally I just tend to walk past. I’m sure I’ll do it one day!

This e ticket is a silly pointless idea. Once your in the park it should be like alton towers etc. Scrap the wristband etc like they did last year. Pb is the only park i know where u have to queue 30+ mins sometime just to get in! I am dying to pb but this system and wearing masks puts me off taking my kids

It’s a bit of a pain, the scan per ride system is definitely to help the park at the hinderance of the public Thats for sure but if it helps the park to assess what rides are popular and which ones or not then I’m all for that as that means new rides in the future woop woop

It's quite hard to beat queues when everything is so close together

But as you can see we did it and did it easily. You just have to plan your rides a bit better and it's easily achievable. Having them closer to together is an advantage as it allows you to gauge queue duration. If you know how many trains are running and can see the queue-line you know whether to join or not and that's the best bit. You don't get that luxury at many other parks.

That certainly doesn't look to be happening anytime soon but for the earlier options just get yourself ready for the 10am openings and by the time you've done Ice Blast (i'd probably always avoid first thing), Alice, Derby Racers, Flyers you can go straight into this video structure at 10:30 for the rest when they open after a 9:30am opening. Only Grand National and Ghost Train open around 11am and Valhalla was mostly an 11:30 opening. Them times aren't gospel of course but you have to adapt to the situation. Just a little planning goes a long way.
