Great video. 1) If you use a garden hose to spray the A/C coil, be careful as some hoses have enough pressure to bend the fins with the water stream. 2) The guts of those furnaces are only held in the sheet metal box with a single screw at the front, so it is pretty easy to unhook the propane line, unplug the wire harness and just slide the furnace out for inspection and cleaning. I found lots of saw dust and junk behind my furnace from when the RV was assembled. I was also able to add insulation to make it much quieter.

Great information. I will be doing some of those after my next trip. 1 thing to add off topic that most people in general don't know and my wife learned the hard way. Some of those cans of compressed air are actually flammable. Look at the label. They become flame throwers with an ignition source. For my wife it was a running paper shredder.

Jared this is a great video. On the exterior furnace door, in your video I saw you replacing the door after cleaning but not using any type of insulated tape or sealant for waterproofing around the exterior furnace door. Is this similar for each brand of RV or do some require the application of an insulated tape or sealant when reinstalling the exterior furnace door? Thank you for your great videos.

You always put out great info. We just purchased the Intech OVR Expedition and pick it up March 3rd. It’s not a walkable roof. Intech says to lay a piece of plywood up there to disperse the weight. Could you look at the specs of the all aluminum frame and tell me if you would be comfortable doing that? Thanks

Apologies for going off topic from this video, but, you have 10 solar panels on your roof, they appear to be all monocrystalline but from different manufacturer's. Are there issues or concerns regarding the mix and match of different solar panels? I'm asking because I'm currently spending a huge amount of time on the Victron website studying schematics and other confusing details to eventually install an M+2 2-120 system in my rv.

Question : you are cleaning out your water heater (atwood/dometic) and the end of the camco cleaner/wand blows off & now is inside the water heater, what do you do? it appears the entire kitchen has to come out to get to the back. thanks, your biggest fan!
@AllAboutRVs

We have a tankless so we clean ours a bit different but if the wand is stuck in there I would try an inspection camera you can stick in there and a small grabbing tool to get it out.
@karenclark4004
@karenclark4004 Жыл бұрын
This happened to us. After many frustrating hours of using a camera and a grabber we finally thought to add more water while watching with the camera. That allowed the wand piece to float high enough that it was near the drain hole and we were able to grab it with the alligator type grabbers. Needless to say we will never use those plastic wands again, ordered a metal version.

You can also do it with a 6'6 bed, they say to get a sliding hitch but I never use it and I can still almost back at 90 degrees. They clip the front corners on the newer campers so you can make tight corners.
