Thank you so much for posting this content. I grew up emotionally neglected and all those major flaws that gave me was ruining my marriage. Thank you for helping me recover… it means the world to me.

100% agree... I accept an apology when I can see that apology turns into a genuine action of expression.

Usually im the one to say sorry, so I didn’t realize the effect it had until other people started saying sorry to me unexpectedly, it’s like climbing out of a hole instead of digging yourself deeper, it’s honestly so disarming

This so so good. Somehow this gets lost in translation when we focus on proven our points. Ultimately, you don’t want your actions to cause another pain, especially if it’s some you love.

Sorry should pair with action...that's how it's suppose to be

This is so true. I'm automatically an apologetic person, not necessarily do I apologize because of intentionally hurting someone because hurting anyone is not my nature. It could be anything as insignificant as accidentally & without intent of for example, interrupting someone, bringing sweets to someone that's on a diet, not realizing I have my brights on until the last minute & saying, sorry 1000x to someone who can't hear me to begin with. A friend once told me to stop saying sorry because it makes you a sorry person... My Mom used to tell me, don't say your sorry, I won't accept that answer & you know where you can find sorry? In the dictionary between sh*t & syphilis. (Oh yes, my MOM said that)! Lol

Here’s an exercise for those who think only saying “I’m sorry” helps. Take out one sheet of college ruled notepaper. Choose a pen or pencil. Now write to fill each line, in writing to fit the lines the words “I’m sorry” Then read it aloud to yourself. Seriously. Try that.

Thanks for this going through this now. Youre right, how did my actions make you feel?

Bro, can you please give your advice in a form that reflects how people actually communicate? If I'm apologising and say "how did my actions make you feel?" I'm going to sound like a f**king psychopath and they definitely won't believe my apology is sincere
@thechannelofultimatedestiny3 ай бұрын
I feel like it's more of an attitude you should have. People who give advice on how to apologize always neglect that any apology no matter how well worded will always fall flat if people don't feel satisfied with the emotions behind it

JUST APOLOGIZE AND SAY SORRY AND LET OTHER PEOPLE KNOW THAT YOU ARE REALLY SAYING IT TO ME... I don't fucking care if it is genuine or not! I will accept but it doesn't mean a future if it is about a relationship as partner but only as friends!
