As a common citizen born and brought up in Delhi I have watched with utter dismay not only the quality of politicians who have entered Delhi Sansad but the population explosion caused by these ruthless politicians who have opened the doors of Delhi to highly questionable elements who are their votebanks. For these elements, like Rohingyas, Bangldeshis etc Delhi is not only a haven but also heaven as they are pampered by these corrupt political parties for their assured votes in return for freebies and protection. The present ruling party probably doesn't have even one Delhi ite in its elected members - including the CM. No wonder Delhi itself along with our Holy Jamuna ji are going down the drain. Freebies are a proven method to win elections. These elements thrive on them . But this malaise is highly infectious. Other parties like Congress, BJP etc have no recourse left but to join the bandwagon. It becomes an existential necessity. So, in effect, a politicians created large portion of population begins to dictate terms and conditions to these political parties and their corrupt politicians both of whom have nothing to lose and everything to gain. So what is the solution? To begin with the Supreme Court must step in and stop the freebies as well as the invasion of Delhi by suspect characters. Accountability must be imposed on all guilty parties which must be feared. I could go on and on but will leave it to you and your chosen panel to suggest methods to curtail this malaise.
