I so enjoyed this as knitted a bit more of my second Anniken Kos Brioche Cowl (this one in handspun yarn). I was smiling about the needle sets, project bags, notions, umbrella swifts and ball winders as I very much follow a similar path as you (80s knitter - plastic bags, metal/plastic needles, bits of waste yarn to use as stitch markers or project holders),. I no longer buy the latest fad - some things are really just not going to get used! But one of my favourite forever needs is a trusty notebook and pencil to keep track. I love the Clover row counters you also use but I do love scribbling notes and using 5 bar gate tallies to keep track. Thank you for a joyous reflection on our "needs" ❤

@DarylBatCarer-ms7od thank you. Yes you don't really need more than yarn & needles 😁 Enjoy knitting Kos. Taught my mum to knit it on my recent trip to Norway

My fav project bags are by Emma Ball they are very good quality and different sizes. I use simple bulb markers the handmade ones ruin my yarn. Fav metal needles chiagoo and mindful knitpro. Fav wooden knitpro royale but these are hard to find now. I now buy single needles as I rarely use over 4.5mm. A magnetic board and magnetic strip is good for following patterns. A decent accurate needle gauge - I wasted many pounds on these that give different results. Blocking wires if knitting shawls.

@@Hielancoo I think my Janie Crow project bag is in association with Emma Ball. I agree with handmade stitch markers - use with caution.😊
