Valid points. Sunroof in India doesnt make any sense. Weather is hot. There is so much dust and pollution. Chances of leakage. High maintenance. Lowers the body strength. Chances of breaks and cracks on roof.

Sunroof(Panoramic) is for the sense of space it offers in the car. I always feel the absence of the panoramic roof whenever I sit in any other car(eg. Innova which doesn't have ant sunroof) it feels suffocating comparatively.

Why Luxury brands provide sunroof- 1. Luxury cars by definition don't sell what you need, they sell what you desire..... 2. It's cheaper 'sometimes' for the company to keep sunroof as is then to do structural changes in the car. As these cars aren't manufactured in IND. They are made in their already established manufacturing unit in West & then assembled in IND. You can't do any structural changes in assembly. 3. Market study shows that most Indians consider Sunroof a luxury feature hence it's ought to be in a luxury category car.
