I have a series 2 with a 1.3hd and it's a cannon. Love that gun
@BryanMiranda9624 күн бұрын
The issue with there guns is that is you use them"correctly" with the air horns perpendicular to the body and have the fan wide open it makes the fan wonky because the splits in the noodle don't line up with the air horns. Literally all they changed in the series 2 besides making digital versions is adjusted the threading on the body so that the splits line up with the air horns. The big fan is completely usable because it doesn't twist and there's no dry center. You can do the same on the series 1 by just twisting the horns to line up with the splits,you just have to hold the gun at a slight angle afterwards

Hey Trigger, it's good to see another video on this channel bro I thought you had stopped using this one🤔I might be me but it seemed like the DV1 had problems getting the sealer down with a wet coat as it looked a bit dry in places and the hood looked stripey, I don't know if that matters with sealer but even the basecoat looked stripey on the hood until the last coat then the cross drop coat sorted it out👌 The fan on the WS400 is a bit big but I've never had any issues with it on my Series 2 but I do know the Series 1 had some issues with the fan but I haven't owned that gun, the finish from the clear looked amazing Trigger👏🙏👍John UK

Yes it was, a little funky until the drop coat. Over 100° hot day metallics kick you in the butt some days 🥹
@bosshawg742724 күн бұрын
A huge fan helps me with metallics, but it comes at a cost... paint waste. I get on fine with medium-sized fans with tighter passes and a drop coat that usually uses less paint. But I'm no pro

For me too wide of a fan causes dry sand piling on Metallics, I like a more controled fan. But everyone is different

There’s secret settings on the gun it’s unfortunate the original supernova is difficult

@kr2513 I agree puts down a lovely finish when it's dialled but it's all the messing about to get it there 👌👌

@@deanbrown7643 definitely ask around but I know it’s all about dialing in that fan. It’s almost too fine unless you do. I’m speaking as a daily LPH400 LVX user

For clear I put my pressure at 30 psi (roughly 2 bar). I then pull trigger so only air comes out. While holding, watch your gauge and turn the fan closed slowly 🔁. Look closely as you are closing your fan, the instant the pressure goes up, you’re technically done and set up. You now have a certified Japanese clear running machine if you aren’t careful. You have concentrated the fan. From there I open🔄 the fan just one little slight bit. If it were a clock I’m talking 10 minutes of movement. I hope trigger doesn’t mind but I got this advice from paint society. But be warned it’s almost like a different gun now!! Run city!! 💦 Brian pulls information off of forums and other KZbinrs. Guys like trigger paint by feel. Either way you need to bust out that supernova. Guys were getting fired over glassing out Hyundais and Mazdas when those guns first came out. They’re almost too good for collision especially using a 1.4 in the cold climate. I hope this helps. Definitely try this out on something crappy.

Is there any difference using dv1 clear gun va base gun for sealer?
@PaintsByTrigger22 күн бұрын
I would only use the base gun for sealer, clear gun can work but not really designed for it.
