@aaronlathan Each home was beautiful, especially the ones designed by a homeowner. The decor tips I picked up on were the black window frames, and the media room wall outlets placed higher on the wall as requested by the purchaser.

We looked at a house on Watkins and fell in love. Someone submitted an offer 30 minutes before us and it was going to be a weird sale(don’t remember what our realtor called it)😩 We ended up in Sierra Vista and it’s ok but I definitely think Meridiana is a better community. I am excited for our area to grow.

3 things I check before we settle on an area: 1. The bathroom and cart area at Target; 2. The bathroom at the grocery store where we would shop; and 3. The dining room of a fast food restaurant (not Chick Fil A). This tells you a fair amount of information about the neighborhood, your neighbors, and the retail/ fast food work force in the area. True story, I once excluded an area based on behavior I observed in a Burger King.

You need to find out if Highland has the option for those super high ceilings for every plan. Would love to know if other builders offer these high ceilings as well.

Specific plans. Based on my talk with the sales team those additional feet come with the number series plans on 50’+ options.

I haven’t had the best luck with highland. My 5 yr old highland home recently needed a $20,000 tunneling job to repair 45-50 feet of broken plumbing pipe underneath the foundation that highlands subcontractor failed to hang correctly underneath the foundation…

I wouldn’t give up on it. Especially if you’re the original owner. I’d take it up the corporate ladder. I’d also threaten to leave a bad review on Google. Whatever it takes. They’ve been gone for a while but leaving a customer with a 20K bill isn’t acceptable

The target in all of these exurbs suck. The target is only better in Houston.. I have my semi decent target over here in humble that’s by the freeway. It’s a nice target, but guess what the Walmart around the corner is huge and much better and I am not at Walmart girly I don’t even go into Walmart. Walmart just won’t let them be. And I haven’t seen a target like I used to I California. So I don’t know if it’s possible to use Walmart and target as a comparison into the area that you are in. As a target girly I just feel like I’m here surviving.
