Your name was evoked in vain a few times on this climb. As in, "how did goddamn jeff lenosky ride up this" haha
@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss6 жыл бұрын
I thought I bit off more than I could chew saying I could ride it! That was really really difficult and the hardest section wasn’t even in the video!! There’s a super steep part before those crux rock hop moves that looked like a paved road on video but were really challenging.

Even without the gimble, and with just a hero session, y’all still can capture some amazing rides in stunning detail! I don’t understand how that works, but y’all appear to be the no gimble wizards!!

Aw, shucks. We're still looking into gimbals, but glad to hear it's working for the moment!

Yeah, I descend better tired too. As long as I'm not so tired I can't maintain "attack" position that is.. I think you get to a point where the mind has already spent all of it's "fight or flight" hormone that creates the kind of anxiety about a certain feature or drop or whatever. I also descend better when I'm chasing the sunset. The darker it gets, the faster I ride because I can't see the scary stuff, so I just roll right over it, haha.. Great vids!!!

Rode the Dyfi Enduro in Wales, UK 6 hrs, 1900 metres of climbing, gnarly descents, wet, slippery roots, 1000 rider mass start. The last hour was tough but didn’t bonk but when I got off the bike at the finish line I injured my lower back as I we hastily walked back to the car. Now after a long arduous ride I make sure to take things more slowly and carefully. Your videos are awesome!

Syd's fall was so typical of being tired: Going slow, too much weight on hands, hit rock, stop, fall over. BTDT. Glad you're ok though. Sometimes, those slow falls into rocks end up hurting the worst.

I have a theory that I am more productive at my work (I'm a programmer) when a little tired... I think I just stop over thinking things and hammer away at it. Perhaps it's similar. On the bike I am not sure - I think I just get more desperate and start running into things :P

Ya know I think this video highlights one huge difference between road cycling and mountain biking. In this video, they went 30 miles in almost 8 hours. In road cycling, you can go 30 miles on 2 and a half hours (or at least thats my 30 mi time). But in MTBing theres a heck of a lot more technical and slower riding as opposed to smooth roads in road riding.
@sydandmacky6 жыл бұрын
True. This was an unusually slow and technical ride (we had to hike a lot of the climbs because they were so steep and rocky) so it's kind of on the extreme end of the spectrum, haha!
@lukepatrick61966 жыл бұрын
SYD and MACKY Oh for sure there was a ton of slow moving trail. Have you guys done any road cycling on a road bike?
