We all seems to know what we love doing but most often many find it difficult to get into it because they don't know how to, so sir doing what ever it takes to get started is part of the game, your just seing it that way because your a goal getter, believe me sir you love talking and inspiring people, and that has endeared you into doing things you don't love just to get it going, but. Believe me when you doing a job you hate, you lack the initiative and stamina to do what it takes, in fact the more you try, the more frustrated you become a'd the more you hate it hate. In all we are all in the same page, doing what you love gives you the propensity to doing what it takes to succeed not minding our discomforts on those things. Tnks for being a great teacher. I've been doing this belief system for a long time but I was broke and financially down. I know it is hard to do the thing that you don't want to do but ask yourself if you earned money from your belief.. If you don't why not doing something where you can earn lot of money. Devote yourself and learn from it like your high income job then when you're fully satisfied financially, then you start doing what you love. I owed my financial status with Mr Dan lok. Sean The Goat I completely agree man.. this system is designed to make people corrupt and want to sell out at all cost. It’s that mentality that created the Rothschilds and the crooked bankers, the oil monopoly, the rich charging insane interest to the poor, the tabaco industry and so and so on.. Do what ever it takes sounds not so bad on the surface, but when you compare that to alester Crowley’s, “do what thou wilt”, it almost sounds the same.. and that’s just plain evil..

it depends on what you want to achieve, if someone wants financial succes maybe doing what he love is not the way to money, depends on what he loves but if someone wants to enjoy life and financial succes is not as importat as personal happines for him is more indicative to do the thing he loves. but it is very important to understand what one really wants from life.

Thank you again for telling me the painful truth I need to hear versus what I want to hear. A true friend or family member tells what the other needs to hear. A con artist tells what the other wants to hear. The pain of truth is like the polio shot I got when I was six years old. Hated it then but most thankful for it now.

This is just the reality, nobody cares about your struggles or problems, you can either make money or make excuses but you can't do both.

I've found a field I love and I'm working in that field. You are right Mr. Lok. Money did not follow until I've dedicated myself to it to a level of ''eating the glass'' as Elon Musk likes to call it. Big fan

I’ve been working my whole life with this same thought, do something I really enjoy to do and the money will follow but have been struggling financially for most of my adult life. The only time I was financially stable I was doing Marketing and Sales, in the beginning I never wanted to do it but I also wanted the extra time and independence. After watching this video and the “Should I Quit My Job” video (I am seriously considering this same sentiment so the video hit home hard). I want to provide a great life for my daughter and feel like now is the time to seize the moment and do something I don’t necessarily love but it will give me the opportunity to do other things I love.

Hello Dan, I remember watching your video on copywriting and respect how humble and how motivated you are due to your past experiences. I made me think about when I was young struggling to help my mother. I am looking into copywriting hopefully I can do well.God willing

I partially agree, i believe you hit some very good points on doing what it takes to be successful, but I do believe you should be passionate about what your doing. It’s that passion for whatever business/job that I am doing that I will do what it takes to be successful at it. For example, if I love to play basketball and want to someday go to the NBA, you think I want to do what it takes (lift weights 2-3 hours a day, do sprints, be sore day end and day out, and take ice baths)? I believe your more efficient and healthy financially, mentally, emotionally, and physically when your combine both concepts of doing what you love and what it takes. If you disagree, I am interested in hearing your thoughts.

This might apply to some people, but not all. most young people have no idea what to do in their lives or where to start. Their passion changes every few months and they look for the next best thing. Since if it will soon change, If they keep following their current "passion" and stay in their comfort zone they'll never get anywhere.
@srr88905 жыл бұрын
You can be passionate about what you are doing, maybe playing basketball, but as he said, there are other aspects to it as well which you might be not passionate about, like getting a right agent, promoter, sponsor, reference etc. to be in NBA. Here only passion doesnt works, becoz the no. of passionate people are in millions, not everyone lands in NBA now do they...

I get what youre trying to say. It's like loving cooking so much and wanting to share it with the world, and doing whatever it takes to start a successful restaurant. I think what Dan means is that if you really are after making legit money, you can't rely on passion, you rely on necessity. Business is all about profit, and to make it you need to create value. But some passions create value and yield massive profits but not always. Some passions just don't make you money. I dont think Bill gates was thinking about money when he was building Microsoft, it really was about creating value and changing the world. So i guess they both go hand in hand.
@fadilaali43005 жыл бұрын
Ok so basically ive really thought deeply about this and the truth is passion is something we love to do and share with the world, but if it brings income then thats good. But it's not designed to make you money. If it does then that's an added reward. People don't become musicians for money, they do because they realise they've got a talent and want to share it with the world. Their motivation is fuelled by the money they receive from their passion. But let's say you've got no passion exactly, but u identify a business opportunity. You may not love it or hate it or think much about it but you will do it cuz u understand it's a good business opportunity and will bring massive profits. A passion you use to soley make money is not a passion but a business. A passion is just something u love to do which fulfills u. It won't make u a millionaire necessarily, but u do it anyway. That's a passion. A business is for profit, solely. Luckily u can pick a business you don't mind doing. Travis Kalanick and Garret camp didn't build uber cuz they love cars; they saw the opportunity in starting the business and they did what was necessary to make it happen

Passion is just like a hobby. You cant sustain a good life with a hobby. People with lots of option can have passion. People with no excuses do whatever it takes!
@ignacedhont98166 жыл бұрын
Yes you can sustain a good life with a hobby. I for one, am proof of that. But Dan is right, you have got to show up every day and do what it takes for a sustained period of time or it will remain a hobby.

What do you mean with "hobby"? If you are good at drawing and you are creative you could become a great GREAT artist if you do what it takes to be successful...

Great video! I would say, one should always strive to do what they love because it makes life easier and it definitely DOES feel like money comes easier, time flies and one could have better health/mental health, etc. instead of always being down and depressed (like my friends, co-workers, etc. vs. me who is enjoying life to the fullest). But, I'd say do what you love in such a way that you could make money and take care of yourself too.
@riceshadow73736 жыл бұрын
the way I received the message is regardless of what you're doing, you must do what it takes to reach your goals/ be successful. That being said, you can still do what you love but you must find out what it takes to be successful and then do so. Nothing wrong with following passion, you just gotta have your wits about you and know that passion isn't a causation. Doing what it takes is. At the end it's like Dan gave a subliminal message to make us subscribe. Haha. I love the video though
