If ppl are really getting upset that the school served chicken & waffles for lunch .. save it. I’m a white girl who grew up poor.. my parents were addicts..we lived on government assistance.. sometimes school lunch is the best or even only meal kids get all day. How about we be thankful for food instead of triggered because others have stereotyped it. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Some ppl are real hard up for things to be offended by.

Y’all, I went to a private Christian College, and also had Aramark. On MLK Day it was a MASSIVE visitation day for prospective students. (90% white student body). But they ALWAYS, served Fried Chicken, Mac and Cheese, Watermelon. All 4 years I attended there…..

Yeah the kids were probably stoked about the chicken & waffles. I have teenagers.. they’re not contemplating the implications of their meal. In the time it takes us to post an offended complaint they already ate it & are busy snap chatting their friends. So the school district made an out of pocket choice .. food is food.. life is too short to overthink this stuff.
