Thank you for doing this comparison!! I can't tell the difference between the 2. It's minimal, if anything and when you factor in the live mix, it would even been less noticeable. I've been using the Xvive U2 with my bass for over 5 years now with very few issues. They may have cut out twice like you indicated... and those were times where the stage was tight and I was very close to our wireless mixer. I've had people tell me recently that I'm a fool for using Xvive U2s because it's made for guitar and there is considerable latency and tone/signal loss... but I'll stay in ignorant bliss. These things have been a gamechanger for me.

I've been using the Xvive U2 system for about 2 years now and I find it to be quite reliable and very clean and transparent. I don't use any effects. I ALWAYS carry a cable in my gig bag just in case. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it! Personally, I couldn't tell the two riffs apart, sound wise. Keep up the good work I've been playing for 40+ years and I can always come away from your videos with a new tip or some food for thought

I'm not sure which is wireless, but listening to both samples with earphones on a train I found A to be clearer and better defined. Now, I fully support the practice of having a spare cable ready to use on stage

I have used them in church without complications but they let me down once at a big festival where the stage had a whole mess of wireless packs and all sorts of stuff going on... the stage tech had to rush out with a cable, missed an entire song as the band kept going lol.

Hey Jaz, I use the same one you mentioned, xvive 2, ($200 Canadian dollars) for practice and live gigs and I had good experiences with them, no drop outs, nice clean sound, and I would recommend them, but I always have a cable as a back up in case of frequencies or conflicts with the wireless. I didn't notice any difference with a cable for doing live gigs. I imagine in a sound studio you would hear a difference. I experimented with 2 sets of very budget friendly wireless plug ins and I wasn't happy at all. crackling, hissing sounds, drop outs at only 15 ft away. That was my take anyway.

They both sound equally to me. I use the CFG cable free for quite sometime now. They are absolutely great. I bought a set of the most expensive ones. They have power energy for 8 hours and they recharge in a matter of one hour. I make sure that they are fully charged before heading out to any Gigs. I always bring a spare jack cord with me but I never had to use it. Enjoy my fellow Bassists!

JOYO JW-03 plugged into a elderly, like me, Fender Bassman 25 wedge. Sounds OK to me. Batteries last for hours of practice. I also use it for my electric acoustic ukuleles. I too am a simple player with no pedals or effects. Good quality 20' cable for backup.

I tried a joyo jw-03 (which is 10x cheaper than yours) and it sounds awful, very distorted when I plug directly in my audio interface and hear with headphones, but on a real amp on stage with a band you can barely notice, so for live gigs it's ok, but i value my tone and didn't use it anymore, just cables. Good to know that with a better wireless system the audio is so good, maybe I will get one in the future. Thanks for the review!

My wireless system is low quality, I'm just using it at home to avoid cables. It definitely changes the sound, less bass, less high treble (not a big problem) and a bit less dynamic. The real problem is the lack of bass (below 80Hz I'd say). But once again entry level product, nothing pro.

I guess A is wireless and B is cabel. A has slightly cleare tone, B sounds warmer.
