The RB comparison was spot on.. and a defender will try to go low.. you have to look at your target so you dip your head to go low and the RB lowers their head and its helmet to helmet and they get rewarded.. All this will one day catch up with the game and the viewership and value will drop.. it will be a while because people love to watch and hope to get the product we have come to love.. and sports betting being available everywhere now will help keep it popular.. but eventually ppl will not like this product as much.. NFL has forgotten what has gotten them to the point of being so popular.. ITS FOOTBALL!! ppl get hurt and they get rewarded very well for the risk they take to play the game.

Everyone is falling for the "player safety" smokescreen. Just like the NFL wants you too. This is about raising the points totals in games. The scoring has been getting lower and lower over the past 5 years which affects viewership numbers. These kinds of rules that limit the defenses ability to stop the offense are strategic. It isn't a normal tackle. The defender has to really try to do it intentionally. They are twisting and swinging their body into the back of the legs while having them wrapped up around the hips. It's like going for a knee. ARTICLE 18. HIP-DROP TACKLE. It is a foul if a player uses the following technique to bring a runner to the ground: (a) grabs the runner with both hands or wraps the runner with both arms; AND (b) unweights himself by swiveling and dropping his hips and/or lower body, landing on and trapping the runner's leg(s) at or below the knee.

While nobody wants to intentionally lose games (most of the time), and nobody wants these calls to impact the outcomes of games, I think that's what it's going to take. A concerted effort by every defensive player in the league. Deliver the hits, take the punishment and fines and just keep playing the way you do. They can't call it every time. They can't keep fining every player or they'll all go broke. That's the only way you stop this, otherwise it's just gonna keep being a game of take take take take take everything from the defense. And honestly, I disagree with Dan and agree with JJ Watt. At what point do we just do flags? Like, this is absurd.

At least one injury per game happened last year and we almost seen it take out Mahomes too, which would've forever altered the history of the nfl.
