I love this channel and this channel exposes these goings on to the American people. I think this is the only time we've gotten it wrong. Mr. Mangi answered well to the questions put to him. It's not cowardly to say 'I don't know', and if it's a personal political opinion then it doesn't belong in the courtroom. Yes, the statement "Jews are colonial settlers " is a lie, but his answer about respecting American Jews and safeguarding their rights, to me, expresses a dedication to fairness, justice, and respect within his judicial purview, i.e. American citizens within America. If I had to base off of this testimony alone, I would feel comfortable being judged by this man. I would be terrified to be in the courtroom of just about any of the other nominees/"confirmees" I've seen on this channel.

And where did he deny any statement that he had previously made? You apparently are just among the crowd of people to whom Senator Cotton is addressing. Someone who doesn't care so much about truth as about agendas, both your own, & the imagined agendas of others who you regard as "the enemy." Speaking as a Jew who supports the right of Israel to exist, the question of Jews in Israel being colonial settlers is not a simple "yes or no" question. Most Jews in Israel immigrated there in the last century. While many of the Jews may have settled on unclaimed or purchased land (in a country that has been continuously populated for 1000s of years?). There have been numerous instances of Jews driving Muslims off of their land in order to take it for themselves. I really don't see how a proper conservative can support the stealing of someone's land. These are facts. They are also not relevant to Mr. Mangi's nomination unless it is your position that all federal appointees are supposed to be subject to mind control in order to perpetuate a specific world view beyond the details of their job.

Did not expect to be saying this but I'm actually on the nominee's side this time. Tom Cotton's question about Israel is ridiculous and has nothing to do with the job that the guy's being nominated for (federal judge of USA). There's most likely other reasons why this guy's unqualified to be a judge but this is not one of them.

And they were making massive assumptions about how much power he had when he was on an academic advisory board. It’s meant for academic journals and work not events and policy of the organizations.
