Regarding that one question on the video from Leon's community, a bad smell coming from a wicking tub indicates anaerobic bacteria in the tub. That may mean that adequate airflow isn't getting to the reservoir. Some growers say it works better to use sand in the reservoir instead of organic material because sand doesn't give bacteria the nutrients they need to thrive.

It's so nice watching godly people on TV. Don't know if you seen I posted on one of your videos. I am always on the go. I love the beauty of plants, but don't have time to stop and smell the roses all the time. I got smaller pvc pipe put caps on them, put them down in the PVC pipe of my wicking tubs ,marked where the lowest point of water I want on the smaller one then filled the tub up as directed now I can just look out on my patio and tell if they need watered or not.

Leon, I enjoy your talks and instructions. Appreciate your years of experience. Don't know if you have seen any youtube videos that put grow bags on top kiddie pools filled with sand. Then add water to the sand. The grow bags wick up the water from the sand in the kiddie pool. The sand prevents misquote. Putting a plastic around the grow bags on top of the sand prevents cats using the sand for a potty. Hope you are well and continuing to serve 🙏🏼

I’m so relieved to hear you address the reality of the weather and plagues the earth will face as we wait on the Lord Jesus Christ’s return. Gardening or trying to be a little more self sufficient is proving challenging that’s why we loved finding you on here! I made some wicking tubs with the recycled bottles and in Austr heat they perform well! This summer I grew Spinach Zucchini Cherry Tomatoes cucumber and beans and some herbs-in a suburban backyard ! I use a kiddy pool well modified kiddy pool do a 2x4 boards put it together like you would a raised bed a hole 2 inches up line with pond liner or plastic put my grow bags in and all I got to do it put 1 in of water in it and when it's really hot I'll fill it to the drain hole I learned this from Larry Hall who is now resting with the Lord but he has two systems you can use but I was telling you this so when you do grow bags there's a way where you can keep them watered and get your air pruning you can use the kiddie pool but for the women who like looks you build you a kiddy pool that'll look like a regular raised bed. Also buckets in gutters is another way. I'm definitely gonna use this wicking bed because I love gardening and I've found that certain ways work better on different vegetables. You have a blessed week and your right he's coming back and we need to be ready. Sorry so long.

Hi Leon, I'm a Master Gardner always thinking. I had an idea yesterday when I was in Dollar Tree. I have VICIOUS Bermuda grass that after 4 years took over again in my raised beds😶I'm in Rocky Ford, CO. So I have access to feeder tubs at the recycle center. I have several of the 1, 2 gallon plant pots I kept after I planted the pots. I was thinking of putting a fabric liner in an open trash can from dollar tree, about 12" high. Put that in a rubber, plastic vynal plant pot a bit bigger, which would provide air around the plant and provide a sturdier support.

I've used the soap with peppermint oil. The grasshoppers were so bad this past year! They ate the big o heads right off my sunflowers, I'm talking pikes in less than an hour! Do you know of anything that'll help with the grasshoppers? They still covered my yard and climbed my screens after I sprayed my homemade insect repellent. I looked way too many in the eyeballs for comfort that's all I've gotta say. 😂 Come to my yard and it sounded like midnight during midday with all them hoppers and crickets! Tons! 😆🌳❤

We have alot of chlorine in the public water supply that just drawing a bath tub of water you can smell it clear out into the hallway. I set my water at least 24 hours in open containers before using. If really in need of water for my house plants I use my reverse osmosis water to hopefully cut the clorine. Am I hurting my plants doing that. On dumping my potting soil it always seemed weird since mother nature doesn't kick all the plants, animals and everything of the earth toss all the dirt lay down new and put everything back. So it makes since to add compost and nature fertilizers just as she does. Whole lot cheaper too. What do you suggest to get rid of spidermites? They really ate after my 18 month old sweet pepper plants I have raised inside totally. Really wish I lived close enough to come volunteer physical help in exchange for the opportunity to learn more about growing plants. Thank you very much for your videos/volgs/blogs? Whatever they are called. I'll add to my prayers that you do live to be over 100. We need the wisdom you have been given to survive. May God continue to Bless you.
