Ingredients:

Just made this. The cake is good but a bit plain. As a previous post, I would add a bit of cinnamon to help draw out the apples. I also added 1/2 tsp of salt to the cake mix as there was no mention of any salt. Lastly, I would start by making the custard first (it took me appx 15 minutes) and while it cools, I would do the rest of the recipe.

Just a heads up, lievito por dolce is BAKING POWDER, not yeast. 13 grams is roughly 2 1/2 tsp. Also make sure you Google the grams to cups measurement for EACH INGREDIENT. Flour and sugar have different weights, so the volume (which is what cups measure) will be different for each ingredient. Milliliters are a volume measurement so they convert to cups, tsp, and tbsp the same no matter what you're measuring.

Le “contaminazioni” tra le varie culture, anche in campo culinario, sono sempre esistite. Basti pensare che prima della scoperta delle Americhe, certi prodotti non esistevano in Europa, e come poi li abbiamo fatti nostri, e sono alla base della così detta “dieta mediterranea”. Penso poi ad esempio, alle “sarde in saor” Veneziane; che pare sia stato in origine un piatto Ebraico. O a certi piatti della Spagna meridionale che hanno subito inevitabili influenze Arabe. Io in tutto questo ci vedo un “arricchimento”, non certo un impoverimento “culturale” (nel accezione più ampia del termine). Naturalmente questo tipo di “contaminazioni” non sono mai andate in un solo verso. Ecco perché poi a volte è difficile risalire a chi ha “inventato” certe pietanze. Molti sostengono che gli “spaghetti” siano di origine Cinese e arrivati in Italia con Marco Polo.
