Good on you mate, great to hear your positive mindset about staying prepared. Just a couple of suggestions; Keep all of your medical kit together, rather than spread between different pouches, also have some trauma kit such as a tourniquet, an Israeli bandage and Celox a warm layer and waterproof layer a map of your local area a notebook and pens/pencils a whistle a multitool a folding saw to be able to process wood. Cheers from England 👍

My grandpa always said “you can’t get home without a tooth brush or a tick puller”…

One thing to keep in mind if your get home bag is in any way set up for an urban environment is to make sure that your bag stands out as little as possible. Generally I say that if you're going to go with something that has Molly webbing on it don't attach anything to the outside unless it's something like a tourniquet pouch with a tourniquet inside of it or an emergency trauma kit filled with the absolute essentials that you would need to access in a hurry. Also make sure that you get the bag in a color that hopefully won't stand out at all. Also, I'd say just drop the electric lighter for a couple of regular bics. The arc just doesn't behave the same as the flame of a bic. Plus jt can take some finagling to make it work.

Great advice! The gray man theory is a good strategy.

Gray man is a waste. When something happens, everyone will be a target, especially if you're wearing a backpack. It won't matter what color it is or if it has molle or not. Gray man was intended to be used before all of this got really popular and is no longer viable, in my opinion. Just like bugging out was intended to be used before everyone else found out about it, now it's a fools errand....

So your only tool is a leatherman? Nice video man. Good work.

Ya, I keep more tools in the vehicle but I was trying to keep the bag pretty minimal and light if you have to go on foot but if you have any recommendations I’d love to share with the viewers. Thanks for watching! 🙏

Do you use that fire extinguisher on the back of your vehicle?….or those traction mats?….😮💨
@octanemotorwerks5 ай бұрын
I’ve used the traction boards but have not had to bust out the fire extinguishers yet which is probably a good thing 🙂

Katadyn’s are great! I do have the stainless steel version that I take backpacking.
